#dailyart2025: New Year, New Challenge

 For this year's daily art I have decided to practise using watercolours in the Clarity Petite watercolour journals.  I spend no more than 20 minutes putting together each piece and have been using a variety of watercolour media.  I am following the prompts on the 365 days of drawing prompts and other art FB group.  Here are my pages for the first half of January.

Something New: A Pair of Tags

The prompt over on Tag Tuesday is Something New! - I can't wait for Spring so these tags seemed appropriate.

Hats and More Hats: A Tag

The latest challenge over on Tag Tuesday is Hats and I thought this tag fitted the bill perfectly.

Birdhouse Garland: A Colourful SHAC Doodle Card

The stamps are so pretty in this set that I let them do all the work and just enjoyed deciding where to place them and colouring them. 

A Clean and Simple Fairy Card with Butterfly Frame

Once again the smaller stamps in this stamp set are perfect to decorate a frame for the main images.

A Rainbow of Frames on a Card

This has got to be one of my favourite Maya Angelou quotes, so I am glad it was chosen for one of the new poetry frame stamp sets from Claritystamp.

Clean and Simple Flower Frame for a Poem

I created a circle of flowers to frame the Kiss of the Sun poem on a clean and simple small card.

Quarantine Quickies #37 & #38: Two's Company / Three's A Crowd

It's been a while since I shared some pages from my Quarantine Quickie tag journal, following the prompts over on Mission Inspiration.  I have had to start a second book ring for the journal, as the first one is now full.

Clean and Simple SHAC Doodle Birthday Card

The SHAC Doodle stamps by Barbara Gray are so versatile.  I didn't use either of the main images in the Hot Air Balloon set to create this clean and simple panel card, just three of the smaller extras.

The Kiss of the Sun: A Tropical Card

I found the perfect background card to fit these poetry stamps from Clarity.  I let the card do most of the work and coloured the frame to match.

Mel's Magic Moments Fairy Ring

For my second sample using the Mel's Magic Moments stamp collection from Clarity, I worked on a larger card and used the smaller stamps to create a fairy ring.

Up Up and Away in a Beautiful Pink Balloon

I have enjoyed following Barbara Gray's FB live doodle sessions at 10am each weekday morning on the Claritystamp and Pergamano FB pages, so I  was delighted when I had a chance to play with the new SHAC Doodle stamps.  I started with the balloon set.

Quarantine Quickies #31 & #32: Cards on the Table / Monkey Business

For my latest interpretations of the Quarantine Quickie prompts over on Mission Inspiration I decided to use a similar colour scheme and the same process on both tags.

I will lift my eyes unto the hills: a Tag

This is my contribution to the May challenge over on Tag It Tuesday.  As you will see, I used all four prompts:  Add black marker or pen, add mountains or trees, use a die cut and add something from nature.

Quarantine Quickie #27 & #28: Pie in the Sky / Pull Your Socks Up

I am ready to share my interpretation of prompts 27 and 28 of the Quarantine Quickies over on Mission Inspiration.  As usual, I have used Clarity stamps and masks to complete each tag.  For once, I used pieces of the same sheet of inky copy paper as the background for both tags.

Innocence in Watercolour

I enjoyed playing with the new Innocence stamps designed by Dee Fitzsimmons for Claritystamp.  This is the first character to get matching texture stamps for backgrounds.  They can be seen today at 9am and 1pm on Hochanda.  Here is my first sample.

Quarantine Quickie #9 & #10: Bubble & Squeak / Bricks & Mortar

As I finished these two tags for my Mission Inspiration quarantine quickie journal, I was only two prompts behind.  I will be able to drop to one prompt a day shortly lol.  As usual, I worked my way through my stash of mop up sheets for the backgrounds.

Rainbow Tag: Irish Blessing

I made this tag in response to the JJAMMMA challenge this month.  We are not swapping tags at the moment, but we are sharing rainbows.

Coordinating a Card and an ATC

This is the card that I made to go with the ATC that I shared yesterday (see HERE).  As you can see I used the same techniques as for the ATC but changed some of the stamps that I used.

Making a Focal Point Stand Out against a Layered Background

This is the ATC that I made for the Clarity March ATC swap.  I imagine it will be the last one for a while, but I enjoyed playing with some of the New design Club stamps.  I also made a card using the same technique which I will share tomorrow.  The theme as you can see was 'Bloomin' Lovely'.
