French Lace Mini Makes

These beautiful French Lace stamps are so detailed and delicate.  I used ultra fine embossing powder to keep the detail on these tiny notelets.

February Calendar Page

It's time to share my February Calendar page before the start of the new month.  I decided to work on stencil card this month before adding the page to the calendar as I was stamping rather than using stencils this month.

#dailyart2025: New Year, New Challenge

For this year's daily art I have decided to practise using watercolours in the Clarity Petite watercolour journals.  I spend no more than 20 minutes putting together each piece and have been using a variety of watercolour media.  I am following the prompts on the 365 days of drawing prompts and other art FB group.  Here are my pages for the first half of January.

WOYWW 652: Back To Work

Welcome to the latest desk sharing with Julia at Stamping Ground and the friendly bunch which make up WOYWW. The voice is more or less back and will be back at work today - here's hoping all goes well.  Just all the marking to catch up with now.

Not much change on my desk today.  I am still ploughing my way through the daily drawings, although I am getting a lot more relaxed and quicker with my attempts.  I have treated myself to the full set of 90 Kuretake Clean Colour brush pens which you can see at the back.  They came from Japan via Amazon so cost less than half the price they would if bought here.  I am busy punching sticky labels so I can see all the colours on the lids.

I hope all my American friends had a happy Thanksgiving.  Stay safe and Happy WOYWW everyone.

Flower Pots Thank You Card

I really like the flower pots which are part of the Clarity New Design Club January 2021 aperture die.  I decided to use them on their own to create this Thank You card.

Brave: Dee's Friends on a Colllaged Plaque

I am still not the world's greatest colourist, especially of people, but I can't stop practising lol.  For this piece, I used the Brave stamp set, designed by Dee Fitzsimmons for Clarity on a collaged background.

Watercolour Figure: How to Cheat!

I am not very good at colouring or drawing for that matter.  That is why I love working with stamped images.  I particularly avoid trying to draw people, so these new stamps designed by Dee Fitzsimmons for Claritystamp were perfect to try and help me get over my fears. I still don't think I am anywhere near perfect, but these images encourage me to keep trying!

Colouring Stamped Images

I don't think that I've ever enjoyed colouring in stamped images more than the two here.  There is a third image in the set which I haven't worked on yet but I am looking forward to doing so.  These are two of the stamps designed by Helen Hopkins 'aitch' for IndigoBlu: Guardian Angel and Luna & Owl.  I am entering them into the Stamping Sensations September challenge based on the letter B.  This is a stamping challenge so on the basis of Blonde with Bird and Blue angel with woodland Beasts, I am entering both images.
