I have enjoyed following Barbara Gray's FB live doodle sessions at 10am each weekday morning on the Claritystamp and Pergamano FB pages, so I was delighted when I had a chance to play with the new SHAC Doodle stamps. I started with the balloon set.
Stamp the balloon stamp from the Up, Up and Away SHAC doodle set onto a piece of Clarity Stencil card in Onyx Black Versafine ink.
When the ink is dry, mask off the balloon and add the lattice frame behind it in the same ink.
Once again, mask off when the ink is dry. Add a mini moon mask and the hills & Mountains mask. Gently brush Moon Crater and Midnight Blue Artistry ink upwards using Clarity stencil brushes. Remove the Hills & Mountains mask. Add the clouds mask and brush upwards in the same colours, gradually bringing the mask down the sky and repeating. Remove the masks. Gently colour around the inside edges of the sun, building up colour using a yellow ochre pencil. Build up layers towards the edge and get lighter towards the centre. Add colour to the balloon, building it up gradually and add extra layers to create a shadow where needed. Add colour to the frame, darker either side of each lattice line and round the inside edges. Colour round the edges of the frame in a contrasting colour. Die cut the image using the 5.25” nested square picot die, leaving an equal white border at the top and sides of the image. Add the sentiment below the image in Onyx Black Versafine ink. Mat onto a piece of Toscana Designer paper, die cut with the largest nested square picot die. To finish, add to the front of a 7” x 7” black card blank.
