WOYWW 573: Post Anniversary

Another week closer to the next anniversary of WOYWW lol. This time next week I will be back in school, teaching one of the hubs face to face.  A shout out to Y7 and Y8 who mostly won't be back in school.
In the spirit of finishing UFOs, I decided to make a start on the latest Maria Moorhouse Workshop, which I received three weeks ago and hadn't started.  When the photo was taken I was in the throes of the first project, making two versions.  The good thing about these virtual workshops is that I can click on the email links to the projects at any time and work at my own pace.  I was enjoying things so much, that the two planned projects turned into finishing all four.
Project 1 version 1

Project 1 version 2
Tom (Baker) was so overcome at my productivity that he fell over, although Peter (Davison) was not so phased. NB Shaz in Oz these are former Doctor Who actors.  I have signed postcards that I put into photo frames to keep me company.  I have gone back to using various Stoke City mugs for my beverage of choice, although it was empty by the time the photo was taken yesterday afternoon.

Today is #2 son's birthday.  As he lives near by, we will drop off his card and gift (at a suitable social distance).  It will be strange not to be able to give him a hug!  I will be along to visit desks when we get back, as can anyone by visiting the link up at The Stamping Ground.  Hope to see lots of you there. Happy What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday.

Lovely cards Sarah, I especially like the first one - is it parchment?
What is this about you being back in school - do you mean full time? And what years are in? Hope it is not too difficult to manage but i am so glad I am no longer teaching.
You did make me smile at one of your guy's falling over with shock - a lovely touch of humour. I am still smiling.
Take care - and stay safe.
Hugs, Neet 9 xx

Well, Tom Baker was always the most excitable Doctor, so I'm not surprised by his diva behaviour, lol! Gorgeous cards, I do really love a bit of monochrome or subtle tones!

I was wondering if Tom had chosen to bask in the sun today but I must say your cards really are jaw dropping gorgeous, well done on getting on with those workshops. Your in need of a cuppa refill can't start the day with an empty cup.
Happy Birthday to your Son, there will be lots of extra cuddles when we are given the go ahead.. Enjoy your day & Happy WoywW Tracey #16 x

Morning sarah. Those cards are stunning - well done on all the productivity... Poor Tom! Can't stand the pace... All the very best when you get back into school next week. I'm sure the youngsters will greatly enjoy seeing one another... but will the staff be so happy? Chaos may be the order of the day for a few days?
A happy birthday to your son.
Take care. Stay safe. God bless.

Hi there, I've popped over from WOYWW (#23) rejoining after some (too many) years away. Beautiful cards - I particularly like the way the white pops against the grey. I always thought Peter held himself up better....

Hi dear Sarah.. ah remember Tom Baker but not the other guy... I go through fits and starts in my watching of Dr Who amd not put on TV since my friend visited in Feb. Except one day when hunting for some thing. Too busy to watch TV. Listen to radio podcasts or youtube occasionally thats it.
I love the cards. Must use vellum more.
A stamp the right floral I'm guessing?
Lovely design.
Happy return to classes. Think they'll be glad to be back! New appreciation for school taught!
Happy WOYWW 😊
Thanks for sharing, and may God bless and keep you and all whom you love safe and well.
Prayer hugs, Shaz in Oz. X 6

Hi Sarah, thanks for the earlier visit - we were introduced to Mexican Train about two years ago and I got my son to get it for my birthday in 2018. It's a firm favourite with all of us and the wider family too. I love your cards, they are very pretty, keep meaning to do something with embossing on velum, the fashion wil have changed again by the time I get round to it!! Happy WOYWW, Stay Safe, Stay Well, Cindy # 14

Loving the cards Sarah. Noticed the punch, now I have that somewhere but where ????? it makes very pretty patterns. My hubby is obsessed with Doctor Who so of course I know just about all the doctors though he's not so keen on the new one. Personally I liked K-9 the best, affirmative! I hope everything goes well for your return to school. Wishing you a lovely creative week and a happy woyww, Angela x19x

Can’t decide which I like more, the die cut frame with those fabulous folded tendril thingys, or the beautiful flower stamp...lovely in your hands! I understand a bout how weird it is not to hug your boy, its one of the things that makes my girl tell me we shouldn’t meet for a social distanced visit...i wont be able to stay 2m away, she says!!

Oh wow, Sarah, I simply adore those cards, especially the last one! I am not surprised poor old Tom Baker was literally knocked over by your talent lol!! I recently bought a pad of fabulous grey paper and have in mind to do some black and white Zentangling on it. I love grey for a background. Just fabulous!! Glad you are gradually sliding back into normal work. It must have been very strange all this time not being able to go in. Happy birthday to your son! Sad not to be able to give him a birthday hug.

Thank you for your visit and for your good wishes for our anniversary and the kitties' birthday! So glad you liked the cards. No need to "steal" the recipe - it's up on my blog for anyone to use - hope you enjoy it! It's very versatile.

Happy WOYWW,

Beautiful cards, Sarah!
My son’s birthday was the 25th. I missed giving him a hug, too! We could only Skype!
Take extra care at school! Will you or they wear masks?

Have a good week and enjoy it while it lasts.

Stay well and Happy Wednesday! (Still Wednesday here as I am 8 hours behind you)

Wow, you were very productive Sarah! Great cards. It's strange to not hug our loved ones isn't it - I haven't seen my son for ages now (He lives in The Hague) and when I visit my parents, it feels odd not to hug them... I'm afraid that we will have to keep that social distance for quite some time but we'll see how it goes... Sorry I am late with my return visit, happy belated woyww and happy weekend! Love from Holland. Marit #25
