I created this tag in response to to the February challenge on Tag It Tuesday. However, as it fits the current prompt for Tag Tuesday and for the Country View Challenge Blog too, I am also sharing it there.
For Tag It Tuesday at least two of the four prompts have to be followed. For February they are 'Glue string or twine,' 'Draw something,' 'Love' and 'Make marks with the edge of a card. I chose not to add any string or twine, but followed the other prompts. I started by embossing a #8 manilla tag using the Cuttlebug Love Hearts folder.
This was lightly painted using Golden Hi Flow acrylics in Napthol Red Light and Quinacridrone Magenta. I drew three hearts on the back. I then cut them out (I only ended up using two of them) and edged each of them with silver embossing powder, having gone round the edges with a clear embossing pen. I sprayed Brushed Pewter Distress spray and Ancient Copper Cosmic Shimmer Mica spray onto another #8 manilla tag and dried it. I then decided to glue the top sheet of a paper towel mop up sheet (from a bleeding tissue background) over the top, seal, dry and trim. Black acrylic paint was added with the edge of a card and scraped over each side of the tag too. I stamped the word 'love' (Claritystamp Word Chain 6) in Onyx Black Versafine ink and heat embossed it using detail clear embossing powder. Finally two of the hearts were added using foam pads for extra dimension.
