For this sample - for the recent Royal Talens shows with Louise Withers on Hochanda - I decided to keep things clean and simple. I also showed that it is easy to stamp over a Gouache background with archival ink.
I started by masking off a 3.5cm wide strip on a piece of Sheena's stamping card (14.3cm x 14.3cm). I painted on some yellow and green Gouache paints and added a splash of blue over the top with a dryer brush. The masking tape was then removed.
Masking off again, I stamped one of the Leaf Print stamps (Tim Holtz / Stampers Anonymous) using Leaf Green archival ink over the top to add interest.
Next, one of the stamps from the Drips & Dirt set (Art of Brett Weldele / Stampers Anonymous) was stamped along the top and the bottom of the coloured strip using Cobalt archival ink.
The same ink was used to stamp one of the sentiments from the Woodware Salutations stamp set. Finally, the topper was matted onto blue card (14.8cm x 14.8cm) to make the colours pop even more.
