This tag was created for the fortnightly challenge over at Tag Tuesday: Use a Quote. However, it also fits the February prompt over on Nina Ribena's Art Journal Prompts and More (Recycle, Reuse, Repurpose), so I will be sharing it there too.
I have a large stash of #8 manilla tags which I bought in bulk some time ago and I am slowly working my way through them. I started by covering the whole tag with the top layer of a paper towel, previously used to mop up inks from my glass mat. It was sealed with Distress Collage Medium, dried thoroughly and trimmed all round.
Next I found a tiny piece of Melange Tissue Wrap (Tim Holtz) which had been left over from a previous project and kept 'just in case'. This was added across the tag and sealed in the same way.
A die cut swirl (Crafts Too) from my stash of left over die cuts was added next. I also added a heart, left over from creating a previous tag (see HERE), using foam pads for dimension. The final step was to add an appropriate quote from the Tim Holtz Small Talk Occasions sticker book, the only part of the tag not to have been reused, recycled or repurposed.
