The February prompt on Nina Ribena's Art Journal Prompts and More is Reuse, Repurpose, Recycle. I do this a great deal anyway, so I really enjoyed diving into my left over stash to see what I could use. The only item on the page which didn't come from my left over box was the Quote Chip which finished off the page.
Working on a piece of mixed media card (18.5cm x 19.5cm), I started by gluing a piece of copy paper which had been used to mop up ink off a stencil for a previous project (see HERE). It was then sealed, dried and trimmed. I then added lots of circle frames which had been left over from a more recent piece; the mandala lesson for week three of Wanderlust 2018 (see HERE). I also had lots of left over strips in the same colour palette, cut from master boards which had been made to create a patchwork background on previous cards (see HERE). I had a butterfly which I had previously stamped, die cut and coloured in my box of left over die cuts (Tim Holtz Flutterby), which was perfect as a focal point. I added Cobalt Archival all round the page, coloured one of the quote chips to coordinate using my Ecoline pens, and added it to the page to finish.
