WOYWW 645: Scary Few Days

Morning and welcome to the weekly desk sharing with the gang at WOYWW, accessed via Julia's Stamping Ground.

Same old, same old on the desk.  I am enjoying seeing what other people are up to with #inktober2021 however.  Here are the last week's worth.

Not much else done this week.  I woke up on Friday morning with a sore throat, a temperature and feeling absolutely exhausted.  Set work for school and booked myself a PCR test.  Took myself off to bed afterwards and awaited the results.  In vain.  Stayed in bed all weekend, missing a family get together and meal which hubby and #3 son enjoyed.  Still nothing by Monday morning which necessitated teaching from home live lessons - not easy and I was still feeling really lousy.  I booked a second test on Monday somewhere else and the results came in yesterday morning - negative, thank goodness.  Taking myself into work today.  Still feeling off but much easier to be in school all round.  Luckily there are no meetings after work as we had an online parents' evening yesterday.  I may however not get round to visit until tomorrow depending how tired I feel when I get in.  Stay safe and happy WOYWW  everyone.

Glad you're feeling a little better and good news the test was negative - odd that the first test didn't come back... Hope you feel fully better soon. I am glad to have caught up with your Inktober drawings as I missed some of them on FB this week (thanks to FB!) Take care and rest up. Helen #2

Glad the result was negative but it just shows how many nasty bugs are out there. Take care and don't overdo it. School is so stressful but at least half term is not far away. I love the little sketches - some funny ones today! xx Jo

You poor thing but guess it could have been worse. This sort of thing used to happen to me usually the day before we broke up for a holiday. I would be sneezing all holiday and then better again at the start of the new term...typical! Those children are able to infect you even if you keep a good distance.....little sweeties! Take care and a very restful woyww, Angela x13x

Happy WOYWW. Hope you are feeling better soon. There has been a 'Super Cold' going around for a few weeks now. Me and hubby have been suffering (I also took a Covid test, which was negative). I never know whether it is my Fibromyalgia and/or Menopause, but as lots of others are experiencing the same symptoms, I think I can safely say that it is just a cold! Ali x #14

Hmm, I wonder if you got a negative because of the delay - I think the test needs to be done within a certain number of days to be accurate - in any case, it sounds like you're on the mend, whatever it was - take it easy for a while! Some of the drawings are really funny with unexpected interpretations. Happy #645! xx zsuzsa #17

Hope you start feeling a bit better each day until you are back to full health. That must have been a hairy moment never mind scary. I think there is a lot of flu like symptoms about Sarah so watch our and be careful.
Love the drawings, you have a wonderful imagination for some of those prompts.

Do take care and rest up . . . school will continue without you is a truth. You have to take care of you . . . rest, drink and rest, so very good for you while your body fights this infection . . . .

Blimey Sarah, you dodged a bullet there - I’ve heard there’s a really awful cold bug doing the rounds, maybe you had that. Wilson has Covid and says she’s never felt so ill, poor thing. Great to see your drawings again, glad you’ve kept up with them.

I think I like 'watch' best, I mean, sometimes I'm really tempted to look see what next door is up to! Their kids are always screaming their heads off! I did write more....but deleted it! Pick, I had another picture in my head! Happy WOYWW! ((Lyn)) #18

That was a bit of a scare! Too bad you had to miss the family events though, but glad you are OK. Your drawings are great as usual, I think I relate to the stepping on gum one! Sorry I'm so late this week, Lindart #25
