Candy Stripe Frame

There are lots of lovely new goodies to be seen on the Clarity Mixed Media shows today on The Craft Store, starting with the fabulous box frame stencils.  Here I used the diagonal stripes.

Attach the diagonal striped box frame stencil to a piece of Clarity stencil card using masking tape to create a hinge at the top.

Add the square into the centre as a mask and blend Shaded Lilac and Kitsch Flamingo Oxides through the apertures using finger daubers.

Die cut the frame using the 5.5” nested squares die and a mat from black card using the corresponding nested squares picot die. Die cut the centre using the 2.75” nested squares picot die.

Die cut the offcut centre with the 2.5” nested squares die and add the queen stamp from the Chess Pieces stamp set in Kitsch Flamingo Distress Oxide.

Add the queen silhouette in Shaded Lilac Distress Oxide.

Mat the frame to the black card.

Add two of Leonie’s Words stickers to the chess topper and add it to the centre of the frame.

Add a drop shadow to the chess piece and the stripes using the Payne’s Grey Faber-Castell Polychromo pencil (#181).

To finish, add the topper to the front of a 6” x 6” white card blank.
