Decorated Birthday Candle

I like to use my stamps for decorating plain candles.  Here I used the Happy Birthday stamp set which comes with the Cherry Green's Numbers stamps to add colour to this birthday candle.

Cut a piece of white tissue paper to measure 21cm x 8cm – the right size to wrap round the chosen candle.

Stamp Cherry Green’s doodle Happy Birthday onto the tissue paper in Nocturne Versafine Clair ink.

Add the flower stamp from the same set in the same way.

Colour the images using a combination of Red Geranium and Lemon Yellow Kuretake Clean Colour pens.

To attach the tissue paper to the candle, wrap the tissue paper round a small church candle and wrap wax paper tightly over the top. Heat with a heat gun to let the tissue paper sink into the surface of the candle.
