WOYWW 647: Workshop Here I Come

Welcome to a relaxing WOYWW contribution - it is half term and I am scheduling this so I can have a lie in.  Please visit Stamping Ground where Julia will explain more about the weekly desk sharing.

The desk shot is as boring as ever, but I can't share the secret stuff I am up to ready to post on Friday as it won't be available until next Wednesday.  I am expecting Eva later and we will have a lovely day crafting together.

The daily drawing is still going strong.  I am really looking forward to Tilly Tea Dance's workshop on Friday where I will be learnin gthe art of needle felting a picture - hopefully it will be good enough to give to my Mum for her 80th birthday later this year so I won't be sharing it straight away.  Stay safe everyone and Happy WOYWW.

Even if you don't show us you can mention how it went on Friday. - please. Hope the lie in helps with the cold and you are free from it all by Friday. Anyway, school holidays are for lie - ins. Aren't they?

I hope you have a fab time on Friday, I do have a dose of workshop envy - I love Max's work. Hope you have a lovely time with Eva today, so glad you are feeling much better now and can get on with enjoying your half term. Loving the daily drawings - the fuzzy one reminds me of the days when we had springer spaniels - goodness I got through those rollers at a rate of knots!
Happy WOYWW

i've enjoyed your drawings on FB too. Memories of the Connect 4 game, my sons and I loved games. Hope you'll soon be 100% healthy again and get to enjoy some SUNSHINE. I think it's the best medicine.

So nice to have a play day! It's been several years since I've had one of those! My favourite drawing this week is the sprout, probably because it's Fall and I'm already looking forward to Spring! I love all your Washi Tape on your desk - so not so boring after all! Have a great week, Lindart #22

Lovely to be able to enjoy the luxury of a lie-in during half term, Sarah, and I'm glad you have another meet-up with Eva planned. Love the drawings - my fav this week is "Leak." Thank you for your visit and for your good wishes for our health. As for the TH purples, I have got all the ones you mention and while they do come under the heading of "purple," until this new one, none of them had that real purple intensity. I think the closest is Dusty Concord which up till now has been my go-to purple. I agree about the peachy apricot shade. I was watching one of his videos this morning and he said if you can't get the exact shade you want, if you've got a stamping platform, you can double stamp with two colours of Distress Ink (not with oxides as they are opaque). He also has DIY ink pads which come with no ink on them and you could blend your own from different re-inkers. A bit of a faff, but it should work if you were desperate for a particular colour.

The kitties send purrs.

I love seeing your drawing and especially this month, just to see what you come up with from the inktober prompts - my son and I are choosing/drawing with the prompts too (I'll post the drawings we made soon) but we'd only picked a few from the list. We do have one in common though ("Leak") Thanks for visiting my desk the other day, have a great weekend! Love from Holland. Marit #19

Sorry to be so late but I hope you've managed a few more long lies since Wednesday. I always enjoy seeing your drawings. I often look at the prompt and think, 'I wouldn't have thought of that!', e.g. 'splat':) I'm sure you had a lovely time with Eva and I'm equally sure you'll enjoy the workshop today. Look forward to seeing your makes in due course. Hugs, Elizabeth x #23
