WOYWW 616: Gone but Not Forgotten

By all accounts Shaz's funeral service was moving, beautiful and very fitting and I was sad not to be able to attend even virtually.  However I understand that Doug will be sharing a recording of the service when it is available so I look forward to being able to pay my respects then.  Wednesdays are rushing by ever quicker with the return to face to face teaching.  This time next week it will be last day in school before the Easter holidays!

Here is my desk for the weekly contribution to WOYWW, care of Julia's Stamping Ground, where more desks can be visited.

It's the usual view I am afraid - ready to do my daily drawing before I go to work.

It looks as if the head cold which was getting me down over the weekend and earlier in the week has finally cleared which is good.  The car goes in for its MOT tomorrow so keeping everything crossed it passes wothout too much trouble.  I'll be round later or tomorrow to visit.  Until then, stay safe and Happy WOYWW.

Glad your cold is clearing, I've been lucky to avoid one this year (so far) must be all the social distancing and mask wearing when out! As always, great daily sketches. Helen #1

Battleships! We used to play that a lot when the boys were smaller, I’d forgotten about that so thanks for the reminder. I’m glad you’re better now, it’s amazing how head colds can knock you. I’m perfectly fine after the jab yesterday, no issues at all, hooray!

Bring on the Easter Holidays! I've got a couple of days off work as well, so yay! My son's scraping through his Mocks as I write this, so we're all looking forward to a couple of weeks of lie-ins and general chillaxing! More studying this afternoon when he gets home! Love how consistent you are with that challenge - your interpretations are always witty! Happy Wednesday! xx zsuzsa #28

Yes, like Helen, we have managed to keep clear of coughs and cold this year but then we haven't been anywhere to catch one! Hope you soon feel better - yet another occupational hazard! I can't believe how fast this year is whizzing by - nearly Easter already. I have just been packing up my funky chick egg cosies for my Great nieces and nephews and Ben - cream egg inside too. Yum! Love your little sketches. xx Jo

Sorry I am late in commenting but had to delete 40 comments from someone who is obviously having a great time targeting me at the moment. Deleted 56 last night too. It really is a pity they have nothing better to do - it takes so much time messing about deleting them and today's were in between legit comments which made it difficult.
Head colds are terrible, really make you feel miserable. My bff has pneumonia and shingles at the moment (yes, together) and is in agony. Just wish she lived closer so I could take her some casseroles over.
Great drawings again, keep them coming.

Hi, Sarah!

Easter holidays, already! The time is passing fast now although I still have trouble remembering what day it is. Had a doctors appointment this morning, so my phone reminded me. Sorry to be so late getting around.

Stay well. Enjoy the holiday break!

Great drawings again today. I'm not surprised you've had a cold, children are so good at passing these nasty little viruses around. When I was teaching I would get at least two colds each year and since I finished teaching hardly anything at all. Anyone who thinks that children don't pass germs onto other people have never been in teaching. You take care and have a good week, Angela xXx

Thanks for visiting, Sarah, and I'm glad you enjoyed the pink kitty bottoms and the real kitties when they were little! (I've had some really funny comments about those kitty bums...) The little ladies say meow back (or they would do if they were actually awake! The lazy lumps are both sound asleep!)

So sorry you e been poorly, it’s the school thing kicking in again. I had to smile when I saw the snail, I surprised you even know the meaning of Slow, let alone can come up with a drawing for it, so not how your days could be interpreted!

Good morning, Sarah.
Wow, back in school in time for spring break. Go figure LOL Glad your cold is a thing of the past. I always admire your sketches. That snail is so cute! The battle one made me smile as Bob and I got out the game just last week and had a couple of rounds. Looking forward to what you share next Wednesday. Creative Blessings! ~Kelly #29

Hi Sarah! Sorry I'm so late, doing reverse visits this week. Glad to hear you are feeling better and you are getting back into the swing at school. One of my friends who works at a high school reported last week that several classes were back at home after a Covid contact in the school. Must be a nightmare! Good to see you [persevering with your little drawings, I'm not persevering with anything much at all!! Happy belated WOYWW, stay well, stay safe, lopve n hugs, Cindy #27
