Butterfly Tag

I thought it was time I joined in with the fortnightly Tag Tuesday challenge.  A new stamp set arrived that fitted the Things with Wings prompt perfectly.

Add the top sheet of a paper towel used to mop up ink from the Clarity brick wall stencil to a #8 manilla tag. Seal with matte medium, dry and trim the excess.

Add further texture using the sonnet stamp from the Mixed Media Journal set and one of the Line Texture stamps in Buttercup, Prickly Pear, Garden Patina and Cobalt Archival inks.

Stamp the flowers from the Cherry Green’s Splash some Colour Butterfly set onto Clarity card using Morning Mist Versafine Clair ink.

Mask it up and add the large butterfly from the same set behind in the same ink. Remove the mask.

Colour the images using Faber-Castell Polychromos.

Fussy cut the images taking the leaves off the flowers and the antennae off the butterfly and add them to the tag.

Draw the antennae back in using a black Posca pen.

To finish, add three of Leonie’s word stickers.
