WOYWW 595: Chilling Out

Morning fellow deskers and welcome to the weekly contribution to Julia's link up over at Stamping Ground for What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday.

My desk is set up ready for my daily contribution to #inktober2020.  I still usually do a pencil underdrawing before going in with the ink.  I have been enjoying half term, relaxing, watching TV and Netflix and some occasional crafting.  All my samples made it in time so I will be looking out on air on Friday, Sunday and Monday to see if any get shown.
I had a day off from crafting on Sunday but had a fun time Monday making this 3D piece for a Halloween challenge (see HERE for details if interested).  Unfortunately Eva has not been able to visit as we went into tier 2 at the start of half term so no mixing indoors!

Here are the last week's worth of Inktober contributions.  I can't believe that there are only three more prompts after today.  I may have to participate in the weekly challenge in 2021.  It has been very relaxing starting each day with a quick sketch.

I am really looking forward to our Zoom get together for the 600th WOYWW in December.  Stay safe and happy WOYWW everyone.

I am glad you are enjoying your half term break and hope you get to see your samples on tv later in the week. I do hope to be able to join in the zoom meeting, not sure if my pc will support it, must try and check out in advance. Have a good day Helen #?

You did really well with Inktober - then again you're really good at keeping to deadlines and challenges - I still can't believe how you're able to blog every single day! Loving the 3D project - very Halloweeny! Enjoy the rest of half term - I must say, life would be so much easier with a permanent half term, but I'll just dream on... It will be fun to see you at the crop! Happy WOYWW! zsuzsa #9

I love your inktobers. I think I would have to do pencil first, takes a lot of courage to go straight in with a pen and ink. The rip in the sheet hanging on the line is fantastic - really good thinking there. Saying that you obviously know cats - with what you did for 'hide'.
Love the coffin, what an interesting piece and so beautifully coloured in.
Enjoy the holiday.
Hugs, Neet 13 xx
ps I do the three dots thing normally but after I put in a photo it won't do the full justification. Maybe it's my Mac! (Have high-lighted but am not de-lighted - get it LOL)

Hi Sarah. Love your little sketches. Every Good Boy Deserves Fruit was the way I was taught to remember the lines on the treble stave... All Cows Eat Grass - being the spaces on the bass... Hope you enjoy the rest of halfterm - continuing to relax sounds like a plan. Hope the samples are shown!
Take care. God bless.

I’ve loved looking at your sketches each day, Sarah. Glad to hear you are having some chill time in the break. Looks like our area is going into Tier 4 ie Lockdown just shortly. Enjoy the rest of your mid term.

I see a lot of Inktober work around and would join in but I always think about it too late, or am not confident enough in my art skills. I know that practice would improve what I can do but.... so many hobbies/projects, so little time!

I love the 3D coffin though, that looks fab!

Guess your Inktobers will be dormant for another year on Saturday. Be enjoyed them, it’s interesting how you can take and illustrate a title with a simple black and white drawing. Happy WOYWW.
Thanks for sharing, and God bless, Shaz in Oz.x #5

I'm enjoying your Inktobers! I can't log onto Julia's blog so am wondering what's been said about a Zoom event. Sounds good though. xx

Loving your inky sketches! And your Halloween piece is pretty cute. Glad to hear you are having a good half term, but a shame you couldn't have a crafty meet up! I do miss seeing my crafty friends 'in the flesh' so to speak. Have a great week! Stay well, stay safe, Cindy #19 xx

Hi Sarah, such a shame about the Tier 2 restrictions, but we can only hope they work, and that people abide by them, which is always going to be the problem. Looking forward to the Virtual Crop too. Been enjoying seeing your Inktober sketches. Stay safe, have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #3 X

I can imagine you are really enjoying your half term break and well deserved too. I've made a concertina card using those pumpkins, they are so much fun. That went live on Monday if you want to see it. The Inktobers are brilliant too. Take care and have a lovely creative woyww, Angela x18x

Love your Inktober pics, especially "hide"! Will there be prompts for November? Is there a link? It does sound like a great way to start the day. Your Hallowe'en 3_D is wonderful! I love the owl, and the background colours are awesome! Thanks for sharing, have a great week! Lindart #28

Hi, Sarah!
Love the colors on your coffin project. What coloring medium? Alcohol markers? I looked at the link but must have missed that part.

Nothing new across the pond here. Trying to stay safe and healthy. You do the same!

Happy Wednesday!

Smashing sketches again Sarah. COVID has certainly encouraged the creative side of folk hasn't it? I'll be looking out for your samples over the weekend too. No sneeky peeks to wet our appetite?
Take care with love and hugs, Sue #24 xx

I love your continuing Inktober contributions, Sarah! Especially the "hide" one this week. How true... Thank you for your visit. Until you mentioned a neuro appt recently, I had no idea you were experiencing health problems. I hope you get through the lumbar puncture OK and soon have some news. It's awful not knowing - I had months of it and it was not pleasant. I'm glad you like the latest tiny carpet. "Not spoilt - ruined rotten" lol!! I can just imagine it! My youngest cousin was probably an accident and came several years after the 2 girls, and he was spoilt rotten too! Fortunately he turned out great.

Happy WOYWW,

Hi Sarah, I love that you have persevered through the entire month of prompts with that inking challenge. ( I have never made it a week for anything like that) Have my fingers crossed that they used all the samples you got in to them. ~Stacy #32

Your drawings this week are as fab as ever. Greater restrictions do make things so much more difficult, do take care and stay safe!

It's really tricky to know what to do about comments when using my phone! I wrote a comment to you on my phone, but it failed to publish. Since the new Blogger was introduced, (I'm gradually getting used to it) it has seemed possible to leave comments via my phone, but obviously not all the time!!!
Your drawing are as fab as ever.
The restrictions in some areas are really difficult aren't they!
Take care and stay safe

New restrictions. It seems we must adapt because this is going to be an on off situation for a long time, me thinks. Staying well and safe is key though, so glad to know you’re setting a good example and doing as you’re told!! I can’t imagine that your samples wouldn’t be shown on the shows, I know a few of you make them, but three shows needs a lot of samples! You must get a kick out of seeing yours! Also, I read on Mary Anne’s blog that she has trouble commenting on yours and so has left a response to your comment on her blog...pop back to read it - I rarely pop back so thought you wouldn’t either unless you know!

Hi Sarah, love the cat you drew and of course all your pictures are great. I am doing a cat lovers hop at the moment and later will be doing some cats myself. I spent a lot of time reading yesterday - Warrior Cats, the last book, oh it was good! Have a great week Angela #26

Good morning, Sarah. Thank you for the visit. You are a true artist. Your sketches are lovely and I love your take on each prompt. The tail in the box made me smile while the person rolled up in a sleeping bag in front of an air vent for warmth tugged at my heart. I fear there are way too many of those scenes around the world. That 3D is cute. am checking out the challenge! Creative Blessings! Kelly #25
