WOYWW 592: All's Well At Home

Welcome to my weekly contribution to one of the world's longest running blog hops; WOYWW hosted by Julia at Stamping Ground.  First of all thanks for all the good wishes last week.  #1 son's test result came back negative so we were all back to work the following day.

My desk today shows my #Inktober pouch and contents.  I last took part in 2018 and missed it altogether last year.  So far I have kept up this year by keeping my drawings very quick and simple, although I do an under drawing in pencil first.

Nothing on the other side of the desk.  We have had a confirmed case of Coronavirus at our school and although I do not need to self isolate, one of the year groups are being taught at home.  I spent yesterday getting my head around Google Classrooms so that I will be able to teach the missing classes online and live today and until the end of next week.  Hopefully all will be well by then and back to normal in school.

Here are my #Intober2020 contributions up to this morning.

Stay safe and happy WOYWW.  I'll be round to visit tomorrow morning.

Love your Inktober sketches, I have never taken part - I know Kyla does though. Sorry you have had a case at school, hope it won't spread! Have a good week. Helen #?

Sorry, I do not know what this Inktober is? Saying that I like your drawings, especially your little mouse with his fat tum!
So much for kids not catching Covid, he has well been proved to be wrong in what he said. It does make me wonder if lockdown should have been a bit longer. Just want it to end, it's getting scary up north.
Hugs, Neet 8 xx

That's a relief about your son but blimey, Covid must make your working life a lot harder. Good luck with the online teaching, I wonder how you'll find it? Love the Inktober sketches, it's always interesting to see the quick little drawings.

Love your little drawings! Not sure I would be good at those! Would defo need pencil marks too. Good news about the negative result. I wouldn't mind self-isolating but without the Covid! To be honest, me and hubs revel in working from home - we're just hoping our son won't bring home the virus. Have a happy week! xx zsuzsa #22

Those Inktober sketches are lovely not heard of this before. I hope the school gets back to normal but I think there is more to come but schools seem to be getting better all the time at managing what ever is thrown at them. Have a lovely week and a happy and safe woyww, Angela x16x

HI Sarah, really pleased your sons test came back negative. Love seeing all the Inktober drawings, and Kyla does them too- she's also doing the alternative Terry Pratchett Discworld ones. I'm just terrible at keeping up with something like this, and not exactly brilliant at drawing stuff either, lol. Probably why I'm a stamper, lol. Stay safe, Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #5 X

Sarah So GLAD to hear about the negative result! Our schools in the area I live in are pretty much all virtual! It's hard to wrap my head around how the children will actually be learning in that arena, but I'm from old school, so.....It would really be an adjustment as an educator, so blessings to all the teachers having to adjust to that!! Love your Inktober sketches! One day I will get brave enough to try that challenge! LOL Blessings for the rest of your week! Felicia, #27

Sarah that is wonderful news that your son's results came back negative. It's so stressful waiting. My boys are all virtual so hats off to the teachers that are able to adapt to the change. My town goes back and forth between red and yellow so we can't return to schools just yet.
I am loving your Inktober sketches. They are so good. You have to share more next week. Have a wonderful week!

Happy for the negative test! It's gotta be a relief.
I think your mouse is very well fed... but the knife reminds me of the Mother Goose poem of the 3 Blind Mice, tails cut off...
Great drawings for the themes you have.
Have a great week!

Hi, Sarah!
Yes! Be safe!
The virtual classroom is something isn’t it? I taught for the State of Idaho before I retired. We called it “Classrooms Without Borders!”
I had students from many locations across the state and this was before zoom!

Happy Wednesday!
Kathryn

I think in your busy world, anything else you want to add to your to do list, for pleasure or otherwise, needs to be kept straightforward - your Inktober pics are great, and it will be interesting to see how your line drawings evolve over the month. Gosh I missed last week, sorry to hear that you’ve been through the worry of testing for your boy...and school and teaching online I’ve..so much work for you, what a player you are.

Your little sketches are adorable, Sarah! What fun. Presumably you have to colour them in? I don't know anything about Inktober. Glad your son's test was negative.

Thank you for your visit - so glad you like the latest tiny carpet. I was pleased with how the cream bits came out in the end. We are so happy to have our gate post repaired and everything back to normal again. The Misses Comfy (who sleep for England!) say Meow back!

Happy belated WOYWW,
