Using Nested Dies to Create a Multi Aperture Frame

For my final project using the mixed media journal stamps, I used them both to provide a background, as well as focal points on a birthday card.

Use the outermost picot nested square die on the front of a 7” x 7” black card blank. Cut further apertures out of the square using the second and fourth smallest picot nested rectangle dies and the fourth smallest square die (cut twice).
Use the outermost picot nested square die on a piece of 7” x 7” stencil card to use behind the frame.  Stamp the new mixed media background stamps (criss-cross, script, checks, chevron and crack) using mini archival inks in various shades of red, pink and orange all over the white square.

Lay the frame over the top and turn until happy with the layout. Lay the wildflower stamp and splodge stamp into position on the background and add Happy (Word Chain 2) Birthday (Word Chain 3). Remove the frame and stamp in black Versafine ink, heat embossing in clear powder.

Glue the frame over the background ensuring that the edges line up.
To finish, add to a 7” x 7” white card blank.

Like the way you’ve used the stamps as both background and focal points! I do like the word chains letters.... I really must invest in those!
