This card was made for a colleague who was married yesterday and was signed by the staff of the school where we work. I hope that she and her new husband had a fabulous day.
The base card is a pre made 20cm x 20cm white card as it had to be big enough for everyone to sign. The verse is by Visible Image and is perfect for a wedding or engagement card. It was stamped directly into the card using Black Onyx Versafine ink.
For the topper, I cut a piece of Sheena's stamping card 19cm x 19cm and stamped both the Mr & Mrs stamp by Inkwell Stamps and the Bride and Groom stamp by Anita's using Versamark ink and heat embossed with Detail Black embossing powder. I then painted over the whole of the bride and groom image with Pebeo drawing gum and allowed it to dry.
For the background I chose Rose Red Brusho and Candy Pink Pixie Powder and puffed them onto the card at random, spritzing with water and tipping the topper backwards and forwards until I was happy with the look. It was then dried thoroughly with a heat gun and the drawing gum rubbed off.
As I didn't want the Bride and Groom to be standing in mid air, I painted some Hickory Smoke distress ink below them and to either side as the ground. The topper was then matted onto piece of black card (19.5cm x 19.5cm) and added to the base card.
