Weaving A Background using a Stamp

Rather than cut the frame off this background stamp from Tina's Geo Layering Rectangles (part of the current ODS on Hochanda), I decided to use the stamp to create a woven background effect.
I cut a piece of the large Clarity stencil card to 20cm x 13.8cm.  I stamped the Moroccan style panel using Blaze and Fall Fiesta Artistry inks and painted in some of the shapes using Blaze, Hay Stack and Orange Popsicle Artistry inks and a water brush (my glass mat acted as a palette).  I repeated this process until the background was covered, turning the stamp and masking off sections to create the woven effect.  I used a strip of blank masking material cut to 3.4cm wide to mask off as needed.

On a separate piece of stencil card, I stamped the butterfly square from Tina's Summer Layering Squares set in Sepia Versafine ink.  The background was painted using Hay Stack Artistry ink.
I finished painting the butterflies in Fall Fiesta and Blaze.
This was trimmed, matted onto dark brown card and added to the background.
I then added Dream and Imagine (Word Chain 5) and Hope from Word Chain 6 in Sepia ink.
To finish, I added the background to an A5 dark brown card blank created from a piece of A4 card folded in half.
