ATCs: F is for...

My ATC swap partner for the Junk Journal Junkies and Mindful Art for this month was the extremely talented Lou Withers, so I had to make sure that my ATCs were as good as possible.  This month's prompt was 'F', so I decided on 'fairies', 'farm' and 'flying free' as my themes.  All the stamps that I used are by Claritystamp and most of the stamping was done using Versamark ink and heat embossed in detail black embossing powder.
For two of the ATCs I worked on the backgrounds that I created a couple of days ago (see details HERE) using Brushos, Pixie Powders and Distress Inks.  I started with the fairies ATC, stamping two of the fairies from the Wee Fairies set using Versamark ink and heat embossing in detail black embossing powder.
I added the letter F (Word Chain Alphabet) in the same way and used Golden Mint Pixie Powder to add a little more bling (spritzed with water then dried).
It then remained only to add in the 'is for fairies' using my Black Staedtler Triplus fine liner.
For the second ATC I started with a piece of plain Sheena's stamping card and added the barn, tractor and a hen from the Wee Farm and Wee Farm Animals stamp sets.
I then masked off the barn and the tractor, added a tiny sun mask and the hill mask by Claritystamp and brushed in the sky using Ocean Reef Artistry ink with a little Midnight Blue over the top.  The ground was added using first Pampas, then Avocado Artistry inks and the edge of a piece of copy paper.  The fence was stamped in with Jet Black Archival ink using the trunk of a teeny weenie tree from the Stag Outline stamp set, masked off with copy paper
.  The posts were joined together using the black fine liner.

Some grass was added in Fern Green and Library Green Archival inks; the tufts at the bottom come with the Summer Shades stamp set and the grasses masked off with copy paper below the tractor are one of the teeny weenie stamps that come in the Grove Trees Outline stamp set, together with the tufts of grass from the bottom.
Next, the barn and tractor were coloured in using Ecoline water brush pens by Royal Talens and the letter F stamped into place.
It only remained to add 'is for farm' along the hill with a black fine liner pen.
The final ATC also used one of the Brusho/Pixie Powder/Distress ink backgrounds.  This time I add the teeny weenie fly away boy from the Grove Trees Outline set.
As well as the letter F, I used a little more of the Golden Mint Pixie Powder to add some 'stars'.
Finally, 'is for flying free!' was added along the bottom with a black fine liner pen.
