Peace at Christmas

This card uses a technique with Pixie Powders to create a background as seen used by many current and former demonstrators of Creative Expressions products.
As I was going to be working with an A5 landscape card (A4 linen folded in half to create an A5 card blank), I cut my piece of Sheena's stamping card to 13.8cm x 20cm.  This was lightly spritzed with water and Cosmic Shimmer Pixie Powders in Golden Mint, Aqua Lagoon, Peacock Green and Midnight Blue were puffed over the surface.  These were then further spritzed with water and the colours encouraged to run, before the card was dried with a heat gun.
The surface was dusted with an anti static pad and the Bethlehem stamp by Woodware was stamped towards the left hand side using Onyx Black Versafine ink and heat embossed using Clear embossing powder heated from below.
An old Christmas sentiment stamp (by Elusive Images and now sadly unavailable) which seemed to match the image, was added in the same way down the right hand side.
The trees in the foreground and the city of Bethlehem were then painted using Pixie Powders mixed with a little water to create a mica paint; Lava Red and Sun Yellow were added to the palette of colours used to create the background.  This was then matted onto  a piece of black card measuring 14.3cm x 20.5cm.
Finally the whole piece was added to the A5 white linen card blank.
