All Creatures Great and Small!

This tag was made in response to the fortnightly challenge on Tag Tuesday: All Creatures Great and Small.  It was my second attempt, as my first idea didn't work out, but I felt this stamp set by Claritystamp was the perfect one for the prompt!
I stamped the large stag outline, from the stamp set of the same name by Claritystamp, onto a #8 manilla tag.  The Onyx Black Versafine ink was then heat embossed using Stampendous detail black embossing powder.  I forgot to take a photo of this stage.  Next I used the outer part of the accompanying mask to cover the tag, leaving the inside of the stag exposed.  A tiny moon mask and the hills mask from the hills and mountains mask set (also Claritystamp) left the sky inside the stag outline exposed.  First Midnight Blue Artistry ink, then Black Soot Distress ink were brushed across the sky working from the top down. Once the masks had been adjusted, Dry Weed and Pampas Artistry inks created the grass at the bottom.  To provide a contrast outside the stag outline, I used a water brush and picked up Dry Weed ink from my glass mat to provide a more textured look.
I then used the same method with the Midnight Blue ink to fill in the sky around the stag.
The outer mask was put back into place and the teeny weeny moon clouds stamp (which comes in the Stag Outline set) was stamped in Cobalt Blue Archival ink.  The tree line was stamped in Library Green Archival ink and the teeny weeny stag was added in Jet Black Archival ink.  The outer mask was then removed again.
The final step was to add some ground for both the large and small stag, as well as a most apt sentiment from the Chit Chat sticker set by Tim Holtz.  This was cut into three to fit on the tag.  All Creatures Great and Small; a literal interpretation!
