WOYWW 875/95: Back in the Saddle

Welcome to the weekly sharing of desks which is WOYWW (What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday?), the brainchild of Julia, who kindly entrusted it to me to continue after the first 15 years of togetherness.  Please feel free to link up your desk and visit others' - we are a friendly bunch.

Thinking of Neet and wishing her a steady recovery!  Hope she had a relaxing birthday.

My desk shows the results of my needle felting workshop with Tilly Tea Dance last week and the programmes for some of the shows I have seen recently.

Most of you may have gathered by now, but I will be back at work next week until the end of the school year.  I went in on Monday to sort through books and I did teach my Year 5 class, but won't be starting officially until next Monday.  I will be working Monday to Wednesday so I shall be pacing myself.

Meeting a friend

I am fully intending to keep up with my #dailyatc2026 challenge, even if I sometimes have to make a couple in advance.
I did manage to cast on the front of my jumper at Mum's last week and knit a couple of rows, but I don't know how much I will get done over the next few months.  I have a full day on Saturday - another Tilly Tea Dance workshop, recorders in the afternoon and then picking up Mum to go to my brother's concert with the wind orchestra.
Stay safe and Happy WOYWW.

I hadn't guessed at all - I thought the news was to do with you moving your shed (craft supplies) indoors...Enjoy being back at school then; good luck! The piece from the workshop looks gorgeous. Happy WOYWW Helen x

Oh gosh I had no idea at all that you'd be going back to teaching! Just couldn't keep away.... but how did that come about then? I really thought your days were fuller now than before you retired? Hope all goes well and the 3 day week suits you. Was only thinking the other day - gone are the days when you'd comment on my blog BEFORE I'd posted the link - LOL. Super daily art and adore the new felting piece. Hugs Bj#3

Determined to do better than last week!! I suggest taking your knitting to the concert! You don't need your hands to listen, although if you need to think abut the pattern it might not be the best choice :) I do the same with the 100 days - I make the odd 2 in a day just in case, but so far, Day 18, I am keeping up.

Happy pre-knitting WOYWW!

I actually thought you might do that, I did three years supply after I supposedly retired from teaching. Hope you manage everything okay though I'm sure you'll enjoy it and when you have had enough you just say goodbye. Happy woyww, Angela x9x

I hadn’t guessed but I’m not surprised that they still need you. I hope as a freelancer you avoid most of the ed paperwork?
I hope you can enjoy the teaching, still.
Your daily ATCs are lovely and I hope you enjoy your felting workshop with Tilly.
Happy WOYWW

I too had absolutely no idea your news would be going back to your old job on a part time basis. You're a glutton for punishment :D :D :D It's definitely a new chapter for you :) Glad to hear you'll be continuing your ATCs - love the shelves this week as I love to see a library full of books. Enjoy your felting workshop this weekend xx
