Stencilled Floral Hearts

I focussed on a section of each of the stencils that are one of Clarity's products of the month for March, framing them in kraft card for this pair of samples.

Cut a 5” x 5” kraft card blank in half and die cut an aperture from each half using the 2.5” nested square die.

Lay each of the Barb’s floral heart stencil inners over the front of a 6” x 6” white card blank and mask off round the centre using low tack tape to match the apertures of the frames.

Brush Spun Sugar Distress ink through the stencils and remove the stencils and masking.

Add further colour to the flowers and leaves using Picked Raspberry and Peeled Paint mini Distress Oxides, picked up from a glass mat using a watercolour brush pen.

Add further shading and neaten the edges using Polychromos #123 and #168.

Add stamping to two corners of each frame in Versamark ink, heat embossing in super fine white embossing powder. Use the leaf infills for one and two of the flower infills on the other.

Add the frames to each card.

To finish, add a stamped sentiment to each card in Jet Black Archival ink.
