A Mini Japanese Scene

March is Japan Month at Clarity and these new Mini Japanese Landscape stamps are such fun to work with.  I combined them with one of the Dusk & Dawn Landscape Toppers to create this birthday card.

Choose a small background from the Dusk & Dawn Round Landscape Toppers.

Add one of the line art stamps from one of the Mini Japanese Landscape stamp sets in Jet Black Archival ink.

Add a tiny character on the steps and the tree infill stamp in the same ink.

Use a black micron pen to colour the house.

Use the white end of a Faber-Castell eraser pencil to erase the colour within the stamped section.

Add a second figure, a Japanese sentiment from a second stamp set and Happy Birthday from the first set in the same ink as before.

Colour the erased section using Faber-Castell Polychromos (#271, #273, #274 – Essentials).

Cut a strip from the front of the Japanese BOW-WOB papers set 1.

Cut sections and add them to the front of a 5” x 5” white card blank.

To finish, edge the topper with a black Sharpie pen and add it to the front of the card.
