Barb's SHAC Birds - Dream

March is Japan month at Clarity and these new stamps and stencils are beautiful.  I used one of the stencils and stamp sets (Dream SHAC Birds) to create this first sample.

Add the round dream bird mask to the centre of a 6” x 6” white card blank.

Add the corresponding circle stencil and outer stencil and hold in place with low tack tape.

Brush Pink Peony Archival ink through the apertures.

Using low tack tape to mask, add Periwinkle Archival ink through the inner and outer edges of the stencil, keeping the flowers pink.

Remove the mask and add the Dream Bird outline stamp to the centre in Jet Black Archival ink.

Mask up the bird and branch, replace the stencil and mask off around the centre with low tack tape.

Blend Periwinkle Archival ink into the centre and remove the stencil.

Add the large flower outline into each of the corners in Jet Black Archival ink.

Add Pink Peony Archival ink to each flower using the infill stamp.

Remove the masking and add ink to the bird likewise.

Add further colour to the stamping using Faber-Castell Polychromos #129 / #105 (Spring) and #188 (Summer).

To finish, add one of the Art Deco Sentiments in Jet Black Archival ink.
