These cards were made as a thank you to the staff on the ward at Burton Hospital where my Dad passed away at the beginning of August this year. The first was made for his favourite health care assistant who helped my Mum so much at the end and who he referred to as his angel.
I started by die cutting an angel from black card using the 2017 Festive Angel from Creative Expressions designed by Sue Wilson.Nest I die cut a heart from gold card using the largest nested hearts die from Clarity Crafts.I added all rows of thank yous using the different fonts in the occasions sentiment set in Black Soot Distress Archival ink. The angel was then added.Working on a 7" x 7" white card blank, I added Tumbled glass Distress ink through one of the basic background stencils.Next came stamping in the same ink as before using the wedding rings from Wee Folk 6 (the health care assistant had ensured that my Mum received Dad's wedding ring the same morning that he passed away).Next came one of the Wee cats in the same ink.The heart was added. And another two cats to represent the three that Dad loved so much. Finally an addidtional sentiment from the same stamp set as before. The second card I kept more simple but used the same sentiment stamps and basic background stencils as before.I started by adding Sap Green Archival ink through the stripes stencil onto the front of a 6" x 6" white card blank.Followed by Pink Peony Archival ink through the hearts stencil. Finally, I added French Ultramarine through the Dot Wave stencil. One of the Thank you sentiments in Black Soot Distress archival ink,was followed by one of the additional accomanying sentiments in the same ink.
