WOYWW 735: Eight Days and Counting...

Welcome to my weekly desk sharing with the wonderful WOYWW group thanks to Julia at Stamping Ground - please do pop over.

I may only have eight working days to go until the summer holidays (including today), but I am still marking assessments and will be finishing off next week too.
As you can see, I haven't let anything interfere with my #dailydrawing2023 challenge.  Already onto day 5 in the new journal and will be looking out for more when they are on offer at Hobbycraft for the year after next.  I think next year I will do a #dailycollage2024 instead.
Sadly Eva and I attended the funeral of a crafty friend yesterday.  Even though I haven't restarted my weekly classes since the pandemic, she was a stalwart of them before they ended and is much missed.  We did have the chance to catch up with other crafty friends who were there too.
Stay safe and HappyWOYWW.

Sorry to hear about your and Eva's friend, Sarah. At least you were able to catch up with some friends whilst paying your respects. I bet you can't wait for the summer holidays; I envy you! Happy WOYWW Helen #1

Wow Sarah, I love how you interpret the prompts. Not my first thought when I read them, but I love how clever you are.

Sorry to read about yours and Eva's friend. Seems like some good memories came out of the funeral, though. Happy WOYWW from # 2.

It is a good thing I think, that you meet other friends at a funeral, mutual respect and loss and lots of mutual memories to share, it certainly helps to ease the sombre occasion, I'm hoping that my funeral will be one long catch up! Am counting the days with you, loving the 'crumple' , good drawing there, and 'list' is just plain clever!

People don't like Funerals but it's often the only chance we get to catch up with friends and relatives. Loving the new drawings, I have been seeing them on facebook on my way to mum's in the car (not driving obviously!) Have a lovely woyww. Hugs, Angela x9x

Sympathies on losing your friend, we get to know these folk so well through the crafting circles and share the ups and downs. I bet it was good to catch up with some others though. Great drawings (liked the neighbour one) and not long now to the holidays, hooray!

I enjoy your daily drawings and I really love the 184, reminds me of living in town. I had great neighbors. So sorry for your loss. I am hoping July/August are fun and relaxing. June was a bummer. Have a Happy Summer.

Sorry to hear about your attending a funeral. We have my BIL's to attend to in a week or two - sudden passing.
Why are you still marking assignments? I would have thought they had to be in well before now - guess I am way behind now - gosh 21 years since I retired.
Hugs, Neet xx

Have to say your List and Saucer brought a smile to my face. Even I'm getting excited for you for the end of term with the countdown and all. My little reader was in school yesterday and we had such a super session, she makes my heart jump for joy. So sorry to hear about the funeral, but so pleased that you had many happy times crafting with your friend. Hugs BJ#10

Hi Sarah, thanks for your earlier visit, I'm running behind as usual. I've said I will go to Kensington Palace now so hope it is good. Afternoon tea as well sounds fun!! For my 60th my friend bought me a trip round Buckingham Palace (there was an exhibition on of all the Queen's dresses over the years) and we went for afternoon tea as well. Lovely day. Only 8 days to go!! I'm sure it will fly, hope you get everything done. My favourite icad is the neighbour one - love it!! Sorry to hear about your crafty friend. Have a great week, love n hugs Cindyxx #15
