If You Go Down To the Woods: ATC and Card

Here are the ATC and card I made for my Clarity Worldwide swap partner for July.  The theme was If You Go Down To The Woods...

Trim a piece of Clarity stencil card to 2.5” x 3.5” and add the ATC stamp to the back in Nocturne Versafine Clair ink.

Add the toadstools from the Wee Elves set in Festive Berries and Frayed Burlap Distress Oxides. Add the grass along the bottom from the Magic Woodland Art Block set in Forest Moss Distress Oxide.

Add the hare from the same stamp set as the grass in Nocturne Versafine Clair ink and the squirrel from the Courage Woodland Art Block set on top of the toadstool in the same ink.

Add further grass from the Family Miniatures set in the same black ink.

Add the foliage from the Garden Miniatures set hanging from the top of the ATC in the same inks as the grasses.

Once dry, add a light blend of French Ultramarine Archival ink over the background with a Clarity stencil brush.

To finish, add one of Leonie’s Words stickers.

For the card, die cut a topper from Clarity stencil card using the 4.5” nested square die and a mat from black card using the corresponding picot die.

Add the Grove Trees outline stamp to the topper in Nocturne Versafine Clair ink.

Extend the base of the trees with a black Posca pen.

Add the canopy outer mask and stamp into the canopy using the filler stamp in Sap Green Archival ink. Move the stamp and carry on until the area is filled. Remove the mask.

Colour the trunks of the trees in Faber-Castell Albrecht Dürer water colour pencils picked up off a mix mat with a watercolour brush pen (#179).

Add grasses into the foreground as on the ATC.

Once dry, add colour to the foreground using the same method as the tree trunks.

Add colour into the sky in the same manner (#145).

Once dry, add some of the Family Miniatures stamps in the same black ink as before.

Add the fly away boy from the same set likewise.

Stamping directly onto the front of a 6” x 6” white card blank, add the Grove Trees filler stamp all round the edges in Sap Green Archival ink.

Mat up the topper and add it to the front of the card.

To finish, add three of Leonie’s words stickers.
