WOYWW 618: Getting Used to a Lie-In

I have to confess that I have been getitng used to a lie in so I have scheduled this post so no-one worries if I am late linking in to WOYWW.  The desk photo was taken yesterday afternoon as I left everything ready for my daily drawing this morning.  Please do visit Julia at Stamping Ground to find out more about the weekly sharing of desks.

Not a great deal of crafting has taken place in the last week, although we have caught up with children and parents at separate family garden get togethers over the Easter break.  It was my younger sister's birthday on Monday so we wanted to drop off the card and gift in person.  She loved her Tilly Tea Dance floral picture.  We also had an amazing BBQ over at #2 son's and ate far too much.  I have been keeping up with my daily drawings at least.  The sketch book that I am working in ends at the end of April but luckily I have others waiting to take its place!

As you can see, I have found prompts for April and indeed for the rest of this year from the same source, so I only have to think about how to interpret each prompt. Hope you all had a happy Easter.  Stay safe and Happy WOYWW too.  I'll be round to visit later today!

Morning Sarah. Good for you - lie-ins!!! Enjoy each one. Love your drawings - especially "square" and "adventure" I can't wait until the sites are fully open, it's not too cold at night, and I can travel the open road! (My van is so old that it has no shower, and no central heating!)
Take care. God bless.

Nothing like holidays from school to make you feel smiley. It must be the lie-ins! Was just wondering what will happen to the six week holiday in summer - will it happen or have you got to pay back some term time?
It must have been nice for you to have family visits over the Easter weekend and thank goodness the weather allowed it to happen. My only sister lives in Oz so there's no chance but we can facetime and things like that.

Glad you are enjoying the lie-ins, hope it's not too hard to get going again! I just bought my daughter 642 tiny things to draw but I've recommended the sites you've used as well. Stay safe and keep smiling, Lisa-Jane, #9

It’s almost like being retired, lol!! I’m very used to lie ins now, am such a lazy mare, we moan if we have to get up at 8 these days, lol!! I particularly like Day 5 of your drawings with the Escher-like square, very clever!

Happy WOYWW. I struggle as usual with mornings, and tend to be up quite early when my pain gets too much for me to stay in bed. Never enough sleep! Lovely to see you are still doing the daily drawing. I have given up with any challenges, as I never keep to them. Ali x #23

The Square is visually intriguing! There's different ways of looking at it! I like my lie-ins too - although I have this annoying habit that I only want to do it when I can't! Go figure! Happy WOYWW, Sarah - enjoy the rest of the spring break! xx zsuzsa #21

Don't blame you at all. If you can't have a lie in during the Easter break then when could you. You need to make the most of it. I continue to be well impressed with your ability to keep up with the drawings. Pleased you managed to meet up with some family too. Sending big hugs and wishing you a very happy and creative woyww, Angela x17x

How nice it must feel after all you have been through to just have a lie in! Sweet! BBQ sounds awesome, we won't be having one of those for another moth at least! Your adventure drawing looks fun! Thanks for your visit, have a great week and stay safe! Lindart #28

Great drawings. I don’t seem to want to get out of bed on the mornings! I understand how to schedule a post, but I didn’t know you could schedule a link up. That would save me leaping out of bed on a Wednesday morning 🤣. Happy WOYWW and have a great week Angela #6

Philip brings me a cuppa at 8am and I check emails and what have you while enjoying the view over the valley from the bedroom window. I could quite happily stay there gawping out for hours haha.
I like what you’re doing with the prompts. Have a good week. Hope the garden gets sorted

What fun your drawings are, Sarah! My favourites this week were definitely "Square" (very Escher!) and "Prank"!! Haha! Thank you for your visit and for your good wishes for issue-free pants this year. We can only hope. The kitty throw is going great guns now - I've finished adding the embellishments to that first strip of squares that I joined up a few weeks ago, and it looks great. I've hoping to do some more this evening after I've visited a few more blogs.

Happy WOYWW,

Hi, Sarah!
Enjoy as many lie-ins as you are able. Good for the body and soul, right?

We had a rather quiet Easter as no family near, just hubby and I.

I'm trying to craft at least one thing everyday. I don't draw, really, but love stamping and die cutting. Back to using lots of inks since I got those couple layering stencils. This meant, I had to sort out all of my inks by like kinds. Oh my word! I have so many brands from over the years. . .

Stay safe and well.
Happy Wednesday.

Gosh it comes to something when your lie in still lets you link at number 7... you really do get up routinely early! Great that you’ve found some more prompts...I was paging up and down to check the picture against the prompt till I realised and read properly!! Hope the remainder of your time off is restful, how lovely to have had the chance to meet up with the fam.

Good morning, Sarah.
Thanks for the visit last week. I'm late getting 'round. Lovely sketches. Someday, I want to start sketching. I loved the process when I was very much younger. Lie-in? I only get those when I go to hotel... mostly because the night stand is on the proper side of the bed for my coffee cup to be within reach. I also don't have animal help. Besides that, I just think about what I should be doing and get up anyway lol. See ya tomorrow! Creative Blessings! Kelly #24
