WOYWW 546: Under the Weather

Sorry I was late visiting this week, I have been feeling under the weather and I am just glad that I had my flu jab back in September so it wasn't any worse.  It did mean that I didn't make it to Maria's workshop last Saturday which was a real shame as I always enjoy them.  There are people far worse off than me however.  I do hope that Shaz is feeling a lot better and that she is allowed home from hospital soon.
My desk is a mess.  I haven't tidied up since I made my latest Christmas card, which is about all I have done lately.  Now I have to catch up with samples and get them posted.
The finished card.  I made my own patterned paper to create the folded Christmas tree.  If you are interested in the details, pop back on Saturday when I will be sharing the step by step.  Not sure if I'll have time to visit before the weekend as I have deadlines to meet and a lot of catching up to do.  Please pop over to the Stamping Ground for desks far more interesting than mine to visit.  Happy WOYWW.

Good to hear you are feeling better now Sarah, there is a lot of naughty bugs around at the moment. I find Christmas is the worst time of year to have deadlines when all we can think of is the countdown to the big day.
That's a great card with your handmade background..
Take care & happy WoywW Tracey #5

Lovely card - what a clever idea to make your own paper to use for the tree.

I'm glad you're on the mend, I haven't been great for a couple of weeks either and was wondering if it was the flu jab that set me off, maybe not. Shame that you had to miss the workshop though. I like what's on your desk today, so bright and colourful!

What a shame that you missed your workshop Sarah! Hope you're feeling much better by now. Love your layered card. Take it easy for a while until you're back to normal. I'd better start wearing my coat - I hate being ill. Happy WOYWW! zsuzsa #17

Hi Sarah, glad to hear you are on the mend and able to join in again today. Glad to see the flu jab prevented it from being much worse. That's an awful lot of blue ink pads you have out on your desk - my small collection couldn't even begin to compete. Lovely card - the tree is fab. Stay well. Hugs, Elizabeth x #16

Hi Sarah, sorry to hear you've been poorly - join the club!! I think I left it a bit too late to have my jab, I was just going to go when I was struck down with the dreaded lergy. Nice card. Happy WOYWW Cindy #18 xx

Love your desk! Doesn’t look messy to me, actually fairly (extremely) tidy in comparison to mine!

Hope you are better now.

Happy Wednesday!

I really like the folded tree card and look forward to seeing how you made it. Colds are an occupational hazard when you teach along with bad backs! Glad the Lemsips did the trick!

Your desk looks reasonably tidy compared to mine. Like that Christmas card and looking forward to your blog on Saturday. So sorry you haven't been feeling well but good you had your flu jab, dr. won't allow me to have mine yet because of my breathing not being good. Ani #6

Sorry to hear you missed the workshop, you must have been feeling really bad. There seems to have been lots of illness around recently and you will have to take it easy and keep warm. Nice card too. Have a lovely weekend and a very happy belated WOYWW, Angela x15x

Sorry I’m late! Glad to see on FB that you’re feeling a little more up to it, hopefully by now that has improved again. I’m glad you think the flu jab has helped, I must say I think anything that knocks you out for 3 or 4 days increases your proper recovery time because you have so much on and are already talking about catching up - dont make yourself ill!
