Have a Brew Journal Page with Grunge Stamp Background

The new range of texture stamps from Claritystamp are fabulous for all kinds of projects.  For my first, I created a journal page with a magazine clipping as the focal point.
Trim a piece of the large Clarity stencil card to 8.5” x 8.5”. Blend Scattered Straw and Fossilized Amber Oxides over the whole page with blending tools.
Stamp the two largest Dots and Spots Grunge stamps twice each over the page using Rusty Hinge Oxide. Ink up the stamps and press down onto the page without using an acrylic block, applying pressure gently over the backs of the stamps to ensure an even print.
Use the smallest dots and spots stamp to add Walnut Stain Oxide over the page. This time do not press down so evenly and use second generation stamping too for a more uneven feel.
To finish off the background, add Brushed Corduroy Oxide using the second smallest stamp in the set, in the same way as the last step.
Seal the background with a thin coat of gel medium.
Add a magazine clipping of a hot drink and seal it with gel medium. Dry thoroughly.
Add shading round the image using Faber-Castell Big Brush markers blended out with a Pergamano blending pen and nib.
Add some of Barbara’s Word stickers. Colour with Fossilized Amber Oxide and a little Brushed Corduroy Oxide.
To finish, add a border round each sticker using a fine black micron pen.
