Yesterday I shared how I made a concertina tag card (see HERE). Today I will show you how I made a box for it and decorated it in a similar style.
Trim a piece of Clarity stencil card to 8.5” x 7.5”. Using a scoring board score at 0.5” and 7” along the shorter length and at 0.5”, 4”, 4.5” and 8” along the longer length. Stamp the long fancy border with owl from the Honour A6 set in black ink and heat emboss with clear embossing powder.
Add Let it go and breathe several times in the same way. Mask off the owl.
Spritz the background with Milled Lavender, Wilted Violet, Victorian Velvet and Salty Ocean Oxide sprays. Allow the ink to dry. Add the solid bubble stamp in the same colours of Distress Oxide inks. Remove the mask and add shading with water colour pencils in the same shades of purple, pink and blue. Fold along the score lines and cut into the corners. Ensure that the lid is folded along the outside of the score lines and the base along the inner edges so they will overlap appropriately. Glue the corners into place. Add some of the matching words on the front. To finish, check that the tag card fits snuggly inside the box.
