I made this card for our eldest son's birthday. I hope he likes it, even with all the glitter lol. It is a technique that I have seen Paul Church and Barbara Gray use a great deal and it works wonderfully well with a pretty designer paper.
Cut a piece of black card to 13.2cm x 13.2cm. Die cut an aperture from the centre using the Pair of Waxwings die from Clarity.
Cut a piece of double sided adhesive sheet to 12.5cm x 12.5cm and stick it to the back of the die cut card.
Add it to a piece of Indian Summer designer paper trimmed to allow a narrow border all round. Cover the front of the adhesive sheet with translucent glitter and press down well in between the die cut areas. Remove the excess. Use Spectrum Noir pencils to add colour over the glitter to the waxwings. Stamp Happy Birthday (Clarity mini word chains 1&2 and 3&4) in white Brilliance ink along the bottom of the frame. To finish, add to the front of a 6” x 6” white card blank.
