I decided to keep things simple for this week's challenge with Junk Journals Junkies and Mindful Art. The colour prompt is orange, turquoise and yellow and the theme 'Laughter'.
I gave the whole page a coat of Martha Stewart acrylic paint in Pool as that was the closest to turquoise that I had.
I then chose a selection of laughter related emojis and text stamps from three stamp sets; the 3 emojis ROFL and LOL come from the Emojis stamp set by BoBunny; the larger SMILE stamp comes from the Time to... stamp set by Lili of the Valley and the smaller smile and grin stamps from the Click Photo Sentiments stamp set by Personal Impressions. These were all individually mounted onto the mini stamp handles by Claritystamp and stamped randomly all over the double page using Forget-Me-Not Archival ink. As the quote I was intending to use mentions sunbeams, I decided to use two Tim Holtz round blending tools to add circles of yellow and orange Reeves acrylic paint across the double page spread. I also got a fabulous mop up page with the remaining paint when I was cleaning off the blending foam.
As usual the prompt word 'Laughter' was added using the Claritystamp Word Chain Alphabet stamps. It was stamped using Versamark ink with Carnelian embossing powder from the Pearlustre Embossable Dream Kit by Stampendous. I then went round each letter with the black Staedtler Triplus fine liner pen. The remainder of the quote by Thomas Mann: 'is a sunbeam of the soul' was printed using my Dymo Letratag and added to the left hand page.
