Art Journal Prompts Week 34: Friends

I had been saving this quirky character from a British Gas leaflet for the right occasion and this seemed to be it.  This page was created for week 34 of Art Journal Prompts: Friends.
I started with a mop up sheet created when cleaning two pieces of blending foam with Lemon Zest and Squeezed Orange Dylusions paint from another project. I had simply dabbed each one all over a piece of thin greaseproof paper (on the non coated side) until I had got rid of as much paint as possible from the foam.
A section was glued onto a piece of 19.5cm x 18.5cm Mixed Media card using Pebeo matte gel, sealed with the gel, dried and trimmed off.  The rest of the sheet has been put aside for another project; probably a tag.
I had fussy cut the penguin character and now added it to the left hand side of the page.  Once it had been sealed and dried, I used Faber-Castell Big Brush Markers to create the 'ground' (Caput Mortuum) and also around the outside of the character (Cinnamon).
The prompt word 'friend' was added using the Claritystamp Word Chain Alphabet, stamped in Versamark ink and heat embossed with Stampendous detail black embossing powder.
Finally, the rest of the quote 'You don't have to be crazy to be my' and 'I'll train you.' was printed out in a medium font using my Dymo Letratag.  Once added, a 05 black Micron pen was used to go round the quote blocks and around the character.
