JJJAMA Challenge 23: Red, Pink, Blue, Oriental

As I haven't had a great deal of time for crafting recently, but I didn't want to miss the Junk Journals Junkies and Mindful Art challenge for this week, I decided to keep things simple.  I don't have a large choice of stamps for an Oriental challenge as I am not overly keen on the theme usually, but I was really pleased at the way that the page turned out.

I started by spritzing both pages with Worn Lipstick Distress spray, followed by some spritzes of plain water, which was then dried with a heat gun.
I then used Rose Madder archival ink to stamp all the word stamps and the bamboo stamps from the A4 Oriental stamp set by Crafty Ideas by Kaz (no longer available) randomly over both pages.
Once I was happy with the background, I stamped the Geisha stamp from the same set onto Sheena's stamping card using Jet Black archival ink.  The image was coloured in using some of the Kuretake clean color pens in Peacock Blue, Blue and Geranium Red with Tattered Rose distress marker for the face and hands.  This was then fussy cut and glued onto the right hand page.
Finally, I stamped the theme word 'Oriental' onto the left hand page using the Word Chain Alphabet by Claritystamp and Cobalt Blue archival ink.  I then went over the letters with an Indigo Blue ProMarker using a fine tip in order to match the colours used on the Geisha image more closely.
