As usual towards the end of a school year, I make cards for the staff to give to celebrate a special occasion. A colleague will be starting her maternity leave after today and this is the card which I made for everyone to sign. I kept the colour scheme neutral for obvious reasons.
As I was working on a 20cm x 20cm white pre made card blank to accommodate everyone's signatures, I cut a piece of Sheena's stamping card 19cm x 19cm and a piece of black card as a mat 19.5cm x 19.5cm. I masked off most of the white card, leaving a 7cm high strip towards the bottom of the card. Bundled Sage and Squeezed Lemonade distress inks were then blended randomly across the card.Having gone over the panel with an antistatic pad, I stamped several of the neutral stamps from the Baby Girl Cling set by Serendipity Stamps as well as a number from the Cute and Cuddly See Ds set. For this I used Versamark ink and heat embossed using Bright WHite detail embossing powder by Cosmic Shimmer. Once everything was cool and dry, I removed the mask.
Before matting the topper onto the black card and adding it to the card front, I stamped the 'All the very best' sentiment from the Salutations set by Woodware above the coloured panel using Versamark ink and heat embossed with detail black embossing powder.
