Bird in A Tree

This time I focussed on the tree aperure element of this die set to create a card.

Die cut a topper from Clarity stencil card using the 5” x 4” nested rectangle die and a mat from black card using the corresponding nested rectangle picot die.

Die cut the tree from the two way overlay woodland aperture with Five Birds die set from the topper and mat it up.

Lay the tree die back into the aperture and cut through the mat.

Mask off around the topper. 

Ink up the large A5 Trees Mixed Impressions stamp in Gathered Twigs Distress Oxide and stamp over the die cut tree to add colour and texture. Remove the masking.

Draw a pencil line round the aperture die on the front of a 6” x 6” white card blank and mask off around the edges.

Using the clouds mask from the Build a Scene Hills and Cloud mask add clouds to the front of the white card blank using Stormy Sky Distress ink and a Clarity stencil brush. Gradually move the mask down the card and continue adding ink until the background is complete. Remove the masking and erase the pencil lines once the ink is dry.

Add the topper to the front of the card.

Die cut one of the birds from black card.

Add it to the tree branch.

To finish, add one of Barbara’s Words stickers down the right-hand side of the card.
