Pretty Roses Birthday Card

I love these Bijou Floral stamps from Clarity designed by Jayne Nestorenko.  Here I used the roses to create a birthday card.

Die cut four toppers from Clarity stencil card using the 2” nested squares die and mats from black card using the corresponding nested squares picot die.

Stamp the large roses stamp from the bijou Jayne Nestorenko floral set of the same name onto two of the toppers in Black Soot Distress Archival ink. Add the butterfly onto the remaining toppers in the same way.

Colour the roses and butterflies using Faber-Castell Albrecht Dürer water colour pencils picked up from a mix mat with a water colour brush pen.

Mat up the toppers.

Add the toppers to the front of a 7” x 7” white card blank.

Add the word Roses from the same stamp set into the corners next to those toppers in the same ink as before.

To finish, add Happy Birthday from the Jayne Nestorenko Bijou Floral Frame stamp set into the remaining corners and across the centre of the card in the same way.
