WOYWW 697: Last Man Standing

Well it has certainly been a week and a half since the crop.  First Hubby tested positive for Covid on the Tuesday and then #3 son last Friday.  I have been consistently testing negative.  They managed to avoid it in March when I was positive and it seems the reverse is true now.  EDIT Hubby tested negative yesterday evening.

I had a very nice surprise in the post at the end of last week.  I had ordered the new Distress watercolour pencils but thought I would be waiting for them until November, so when they arrived early it was great.  Having seen Angela (Felix the Crafty Cat) playing with them at the crop I was keen to get my hands on them.  Haven't had much time to play with them but they work really well with a watercolour brush pen - especially on watercolour paper.

As you can see, I have carried on with my flower and butterfly theme with my #dailychallenge2022.  I am looking forward to half term.  The final week is particularly busy so I will be ready for the 22nd!  Stay safe and Happy WOYWW.

EDIT  I was very saddened to hear of the death of Debbie Rock on Monday evening.  SHe was a much valued member of WOYWW and a generous and talented crafter.  I will always treasure the pieces that I have which she made.

I've only just seen on Julia's and Jan's post about Debbie. Such a loss, such a kind generous lady.
Enjoy your crayons and I look forward to seeing the results! Helen #3

Such a sad day on hearing about Debbie's passing.
Those pencils of Angela's looked lovely so you just get pleasure out of them each day - with your challenge maybe.

I too have some treasured pieces by Debbie. It’s a great shock to me, so I’m quietly processing. Meanwhile, your pages look great, and am fascinated b6 your buying the distress watercolour pencils…again, I’m thinking they make more sense than other products in the distress range, have fun with them!

What a nice surprise in the mail! I haven't seen the Distress Pencils yet, but I do have a lot of watercolour pencils already. Your butterfly pages are lovely! So sad to hear about Debbie, I didn't know her but she obviously made an impact on the group. So nice to be remembered like that! I hope your hubby and son recover quickly, sounds like your hubby already has! Lindart #21
