Happy New Year - The Final Daily Journal Round Up from 2022

Welcome to my first post of 2023 and the final round up of the #dailychallenge2022 that I managed to complete.  I have decided to do some drawing again in 2023 so have sorted a year's worth of prompts, two sketch books, a number of black Posca pens and will give it a go.  I may have to take a break after my second cataract operation but will endeavour to keep up as much as I can.  As always these pages were completed using Clarity Words stickers from one of their five collections.

I continued the festive theme for the rmainder of the year.

I also confess to pre-preparing the next few pages as I had my first cataract operation on 19th December.

Back to the daily pages from this point onwards.
Hubby's birthday.
A quiet family dinner together.
For my Mum on her birthday (not the correct year).
Grateful for belated Christmas presents from the extended family.
And for all my friends.
I finished the year with Studio Light die cuts.
I did it.  I refuse to leave 2022 with regrets but look forward to 2023.

Daily Challenge Round Up: On the Home Straight

I am now on the home straight with my #dailychallenge2022 journals.  I now only have a couple of weeks to complete.  As always each page is finished off with a word sticker from one of the five collections from Clarity Crafts.

I started December with the last of my vintage paper backgrounds and Paper Dolls mix.

Next I moved onto more festive background papers and images.

Using a mix of Tim Holtz ephemera.

Back to using Paper Dolls with Washi tape.

More festive florals.

WOYWW 706: Not too Long to Wait

Short and sweet today - will be over 14 hours in work today as I am stopping on to help out with the cast backstage for their first evening performance.  Hoping it doesn't snow.  Won't be doing much visiting until the weekend probably so apologies in advance.

My desk shows today's #dailychallenge2022 page on its way to being finished.

I have a face to face appointment for my cataract surgery tomorrow following my telephone consultation on Saturday.  I should get a date then and may have bothdone at once depending on what is said.  It will reduce the amount of time off work that I need and speed up my return to driving again.
Don't forget to visit Julia at Stamping Ground to see other desks.  Stay safe and Happy WOYWW.

WOYWW 705: Blind as A Bat

Welcome to my first December link up with WOYWW c/o the lovely Julia at Stamping Ground.

My desk shows a stencil I was working with yesterday ready for my blog post on Christmas Eve (I like to get ahead with my projects lol).

As you can see my latest journal pages have taken on a combination vintage/Christmas/Winter theme as I try to get into the festive spirit.
I am no longer driving in the dark thanks to the cataract in my left eye.  At the opticians on Saturday they were amazed at how much it has developed in the seven months since my last appointment.  I am being referred for surgery urgently and hope to be seen in 4-6 weeks.  Apparently I am developing a cataract in my right eye also so will be referred for that too - but the left takes priority.  I can't wait, as using a computer is getting more difficult and I often have to sit really close to the screen as my varifocals are not much good.
Hubby is giving me lifts into work and a colleague is dropping me off afterwards very kindly.

Meeting after school this evening so may not visit until the morning. Stay safe and Happy WOYWW.

Daily Challenge Only One Month to Go

And so November is over and I am down to the last month of my self imposed challenge of create a daily journal page in 2022.  As usual each page is finished off with one or more of the Clarity Crafts words stickers of which there are five collections.

I went with some Tim Holtz collage tiles.

Followed by some of the Christmas Botanicals.

I then went back to using some of the Studiolight die cut images.

Followed by more of the botanicals.

I finished the month with some of the Christmas Paper Dolls and a more vintage look.
