WOYWW 765: Onwards and Upwards

Back in the fray today for this week's desk sharing with Julia at Stamping Ground for WOYWW.

I was working with some Doodleology stamps at the weekend but can't show you my projects yet.

I can't believe it's the end of January already.  February's collages will be reds/pinks as their main colour.

I had a tummy bug on Monday and ended up being sent home from work.  I have been able to keep down soup and toast and haven't been sick for 24 hours now so will be heading back into work today.  Plenty of marking to catch up with.

WOYWW 763: Holiday Booked

 Welcome to my weekly sharing of the desk with Julia et al at Stamping Ground joining in with WOYWW.

The latest duck arrived last week.  I am pausing my duck collection for the moment, even though there are five more in the series, as I am running out of space in the shed to display them.

As you can see the collage pages are going well.  I am trying to include a Clarity die cut on each page as well as one or more of their Words stickers.  I have ordered some more stickers from Temu that should last me the rest of the year with the ones I already have.  I am also including book text torn from old volumes in the shed (French, German, Romanian and English).

#2 son has booked a villa to celebrate his 30th birthday at the end of May.  I have booked our flights, so the Saturday after the crop we will be heading out to northern Spain for a week of R&R.  The temperature is usually in the low to mid 20's then, so perfect as far as I am concerned.

WOYWW 762: Back to Work

Back to work this week and the holidays are well and truly over. Joining in with WOYWW and Julia at Stamping ground as ever on a Wednesday.

Spock and Worf are the latest Star Trek ducks to grace the desk and Deanna Troi is on her way.  There are 16 altogether in the series and I have collected 10 of them so far (Troi will make 11).  Just a Borg, Dr McCoy, Uhura, Khan and a Klingon to get then.  I will probably go for the remaining original series characters first and leave the two generic ducks until last.

For my #dailycollage2024 I have been combining stickers and bits from Temu with the Clarity words stickers and various Doodle dies.  I plan a layout the evening before so it is a quick job to put everything together in a morning (especially on work days).

Meeting after work today so it may be tomorrow before I finish my visits.  Stay safe and Happy WOYWW.

Happy New Year - The Final Daily Journal Round Up from 2022

 Welcome to my first post of 2023 and the final round up of the #dailychallenge2022 that I managed to complete.  I have decided to do some drawing again in 2023 so have sorted a year's worth of prompts, two sketch books, a number of black Posca pens and will give it a go.  I may have to take a break after my second cataract operation but will endeavour to keep up as much as I can.  As always these pages were completed using Clarity Words stickers from one of their five collections.

I continued the festive theme for the rmainder of the year.

I also confess to pre-preparing the next few pages as I had my first cataract operation on 19th December.

Back to the daily pages from this point onwards.

Hubby's birthday.

Grateful for belated Christmas presents from the extended family.

And for all my friends.

I finished the year with Studio Light die cuts.

I did it.  I refuse to leave 2022 with regrets but look forward to 2023.

Daily Challenge Round Up: On the Home Straight

 I am now on the home straight with my #dailychallenge2022 journals.  I now only have a couple of weeks to complete.  As always each page is finished off with a word sticker from one of the five collections from Clarity Crafts.

I started December with the last of my vintage paper backgrounds and Paper Dolls mix.

Next I moved onto more festive background papers and images.

Using a mix of Tim Holtz ephemera.

Back to using Paper Dolls with Washi tape.
