I haven't worked with my Clarity new design club items since coming out of retirement in March. Now I have properly retired for the second time, I thought it was time to do some catching up - here with the March Stencil offering. I decided to do my own bijou version of Jane's project.
I started by adding stencil #142 to the front of a 5" x 5" white card blank with low tack tape. I then added Vintage Photo Distress Oxide through the basket and Festive Berries, Carved Pumpkin, Fossilized Amber and Mustard Seed Oxides to the balloon using the small coloured ink blending brushes.
Once the stencil was removed, I added detail with a black micron pen.
Next, I added stamping to the bottom of the card in Pine Needles Distress Oxide using NDC stamp #87 and the cluster of trees from the Just Woodland and Birds set. I used 1st and 2nd generation stamping.
This was followed by adding clouds using Stormy Sky Distress ink and the Hills and Clouds mask from the Build a Scene mask set.
Next came a sentiment from the Statement Sentiments stamps in Jet Black archival ink.
To finish, I added a tiny balloon (from a discontinued set) in Jet Black Archival ink and coloured it with Distress markers to match the stencilled balloon.
