Up, Up and Away: Balloon Birthday Card

I combined balloon stamps and one of the Clarity New Design Club dies to create this birthday card.

Die cut the June 2022 Clarity New Design Club die (#42) from black card.

Fussy cut the balloon from the aperture.

Die cut a topper from Clarity stencil card using the 6” nested squares die and a mat from black card using the corresponding nested squares picot die.

Add clouds to the topper using the Clarity clouds mask, Moon Crater Artistry ink and a Clarity stencil brush. Move the mask down the topper adding ink above each time.

Stamp the two smallest hot air balloons from a discontinued Clarity set onto the topper in Nocturne Versafine Clair ink.

Repeat onto a piece of Rainbow River Designer card, fussy cut the balloons and add them to the topper.

Mat the same designer card behind the die cut balloon and trim to fit.

Add brown card behind the basket and trim in the same way.

Add the die cut balloon to the topper.

Stamp Happy Birthday onto the topper in the same ink as before using the Entwined Sentiments.

Add birds into the sky in the same way using a stamp from the Apple Orchard Linocut stamp set.

To finish, mat up the topper and add it to the front of a 7” x 7” white card blank.
