Abstract Stamped Background behind a Stencil

I used the May Clarity New Design Club stamp to create a background for this birthday card for a colleague's 60th birthday.

Attach the Perspective Pines stencil to a piece of Clarity stencil card using low tack tape.

Ink up the May 2022 Clarity club stamp (#187) with Iced Spruce Distress Oxide and press down over the bottom right-hand side.

Repeat on the bottom left-hand side.

Move the stamping up the stencil merging the ink into Stormy Sky Distress Oxide.

Finish with Stormy Sky Oxide only.

Clean and replace the stencil. Once the ink is dry brush the same colour distress inks across the background using Clarity stencil brushes.

Go round the outline of the trees and along the ground with a grey fine liner. Remove the stencil.

Die cut the nested square doodle frame-its frames from dark grey card and put the largest frame to one side.

Trim the topper to 6.75” square and add the frame.

Mat onto the same colour card and trim leaving a narrow border.

Add to the front of an 8” x 8” white card blank.

To finish, add a couple of the Clarity Christmas & Celebrations words stickers.
