WOYWW 607: No Commuting

Morning and welcome to my weekly desk sharing with the lovely Julia and the rest of the WOYWW gang over on Stamping Ground.  If you pop over you will find all explained.

I am working from home delivering distance learning after all this week, as it was decided to keep the status quo with the rota for the time being.  Hence breakfast in the shed as I get ready for the day with my daily drawing sketchbook.  I had a slight glitch Monday morning with my computer but managed to resolve it by closing everything down and rebooting.  Hope everything goes smoothly today and Friday.  Next week I will be in school delivering lessons and inviting pupils along who are in school in the hubs.

I have tried to keep things simple with the drawings this week and still enjoy coming up with ideas for the prompts.  Stay safe and happy WOYWW.

You should get everyone to suggest a prompt with their comments and you would soon have a long list. Have you had 'shiver'?
Hope all goes well with this week of teaching from the shed and hope next week you can stay safe and well - still signing everything that comes my way to get vaccines for teachers.
Hugs, Neet 5 xx

Blimey, the last thing you need contributing to stress levels is a computer glitch, bet you were very calm and controlled though, no drama for you! So if you’re teaching remotely, when you refer to School Hub, is that the pupils that are actually in school? I’m so far removed from children and education these days! The drawing for the ‘misfit’ prompt is my favourite from this bunch, I would never have thought of that!

Morning Sarah. Great fun sketches - I like Neet's ideas - we could all come up with something... how about "mess"? Hope all goes well with the teaching - and that your computer doesn't complain too loudly at all the extra usage!
Take care. God bless.

I think the slings my favourite. I got a mad urge to make one when I saw it and get outside and use it. But as it’s pickling down with rain I won’t bother heehee.
Hope all goes well with the lessons and things don’t get to stressful,

That's computers for you but it's surprising what a difference switching them off, counting to ten and starting again can do for them. Pleased it's behaving again. Loving the new pages too and pleased you're staying at home to work, at least we know you're safe while you're there. Happy woyww, Angela x14x

Ah, the old Turn It Off and On Again ploy! It’s amazing how often that works though and I’m glad everything is now working again, especially as you’re doing all your teaching via that now. It’s fun to see all your drawings and how you use the prompt, I wonder what I’d do as a daily image!
Hope the storm isn’t battering Stoke too much and you’re well away from any rivers!

Oh, I like the misfit - so witty! Do take care when you go back to school next week. To be honest, I don't mind if the lockdown lasts until Easter as they predict. Not much to do at this time of year anyway and hopefully we'll be safely out of it by Spring. Have a lovely week and keep drawing! xx zsuzsa #18

Sarah, enjoyed your prompt drawings this week! My fave is the slingshot! You don't see those much anymore, but they were so much fun as kids! Especially if I could get one over on one of my five brothers! LOLOL Glad you got your computer glitches straightened...always use the motto...reboot, reboot, reboot! LOL Take care with all the school ins and outs! Staying healthy is paramount! Blessings to you, Felicia #27

Happy WOYWW. COVID has really turned education upside down - so many students and teachers are struggling. I think I would have been one of the few that is thriving on learning online from home. Very much like my lifestyle now. I just signed up for a free Open University course. Ali x. #26

Hi Sarah, I've had a fair few IT glitches since I've been working from home, but thankfully they all seem to be resolved now. Immediate response from IT was always "have you tried rebooting?" I'm enjoying seeing all your daily drawings - you interpret the words so well. Have a lovely week, Heather xx 28

Hope the computer behaves for your online teaching. Mine kicked me out part way through a session and I ended up having to join again a few minutes later - fortunately the students were still there! Happy belated WOYWW. Take care and stay safe. With love & God Bless, Caro xxx (#8)

Love your drawings, as always, Sarah - especially the misfit one! Also Tutankhamen has a somewhat whimsical expression! I hope you have had no further computer problems. Thank you for your visit. I am waiting to hear back from the blender people (yet again) and I may have to pursue the matter further. I'm running out of energy, though!

Happy belated WOYWW,

Hi Sarah! Lovely drawings as usual! I can see that you are improving with practice as well! I'm sure it will be nice to see the children at school again. As for the computer - turn it off and turn it back on again seems to be the mantra for all tech these days! Thanks for your visit, have a great week! Lindart #29
