For once I actually finished all the main missions over on Mission Inspiration before the end of the year. I completed a journal page following the December prompts on the 29th. The main prompt was Winter Wonderland, the colours Frosty Blue, Winter Purple and Silver Bells and additional prompts were Trees, Bells, Frost, Snow and Stars. As you can see I focussed on trees and snow.
Add a coat of transparent gesso to the handmade paper pages of a journal and dry thoroughly. Mix some matt
turquoise acrylic paint with a little white. Tear a hill from card and
add paint to the sky. Remove the mask, paint the snow white and dry
thoroughly. Die cut and emboss two lots of the Sue Wilson Winter Trees from purple card. Stamp the Clarity Snow Globe Outline stamp onto Clarity stencil card in Hickory Smoke Archival ink and fussy cut it. Create a scene inside the globe to mirror the background including trees from the same stamp set and the wee Christmas set in Majestic Violet Archival ink. Brush Tenacious Teal Artistry ink across the sky using a small makeup brush. Add Brushed Pewter Distress paint to the base of the snow globe. Add the snow globe to the right-hand page.Add the die cut trees across both pages. Add Winter Wonderland using the Clarity Word Chain Alphabet. Stamp in Versamark ink and heat emboss with detail silver embossing powder. Add snow using a white gel pen.To finish, add a drop shadow to the lettering using the same pen.
