WOYWW 597: Vertigo

Welcome to the weekly sharing of the desk which seems to come round ever more quickly.  It won't be long before we are all celebrating 600 weeks of WOYWW with Julia who keeps us in check and organises the link up each Wednesday on Stamping Ground.

The week didn't start off so well for me with a feeling of nausea and vertigo which came and went in waves.  I spent Monday and most of yesterday in bed, but it's back to work today as it appears to have gone for now.

Luckily I had already completed the drawings for days 9 and 10 in the Drawcember2018 series.  My desk today shows the start of day 11 - ornate tree.  You may also have noticed that I have doubled my Washi storage.  I have decided to put my TH collage paper rolls and some of my most used pens and tools into the drawers as well as my Washi tape.  I managed to catch up with #1 son briefly before lockdown and drop in his birthday present and card.  He was on his way out to get a haircut so we didn't manage coffee in the garden, but are hoping to catch up after lockdown for a belated, socially distanced celebration.

I won't be visiting until tomorrow as we have a Twilight Wellbeing session after school this evening so I won't be home until later than usual.  Stay safe everyone.

impressive washi storage! I don't have a lot, a few rolls of Tim's tissue tape, an the odd washi I've picked up but they are not at all organised. Glad the vertigo has improved enough for you to return to work. Take care and stay safe. Helen #4

That a great storage unit, could do with something like that myself. I hope the meeting after school doesn't go on for too long, I'm a bit surprised at them keeping you all back the way things are. Glad you're feeling better too. Take care and have a good woyww, Angela x15x

I’m sorry about the vertigo, I get it and it’s so debilitating - just glad that you’re better now. The washi collection is rather fab as is the storage, I do like it when you can see everything to hand like that!

Glad you are feeling better, Sarah, but don’t overdo it at school today. Think there is an oxymoron in the twighlight wellbeing-all you want at this time of year is to get home and cosy. Take care. I love your drawing journal and look forward to seeing what you have drawn each day.

I have never actually bought washi tape, being away from crafting for so long I can't even remember it. My small load came free with magazines, oh no, I tell a lie! I did buy some from The Works, there was gold and glitter ones, so, had to get it! Hope your vertigo gets better, I remember my bed spinning as a child, very unpleasant... but maybe that was something else!

Sorry about your vertigo - my son suffers from it occasionally - it's very scary! I saw him have an episode once and his eyes were moving all over the place, so I know he's not making it up. I took him to the GPs a couple of times but they were not much help. It comes and goes - something to do with crystals in your ears. Fingers crossed it won't be back! Those boxes look great stacked on each other - darn, now I'll have to get another one too LOL! We can't have enough drawers around and these are so nice and transparent. You're so committed starting another daily challenge! Hope you have a good week, Sarah! xx zsuzsa #21

Hi Sarah, good to hear you're feeling better, my SIL in Australia now, she suffers from this a lot, very unpleasant she says. Like the storage, like Helen, I probably only have half a dozen washi tapes, not really something I've ever gotten into, which is probably just as well, lol. Stay safe, have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #6 X

The drawers are looking v useful and v high! i keep the old anti static bag and foam pads in my on the desk drawers because I have a pen holder somewhere under something, otherwise I’d definitely be copying you!

Great doodles, you are doing well keeping up to date with the challenge. I love the washi storage, I love washi and have far too much considering I don't use it very often - I like the idea of being able to see what you have through the drawer fronts.
Hope your vertigo doesn't come back, I've had it once and it was ghastly so fingers crossed that is it for now.
Have a good week and stay safe,

HI Sarah, that looks like a perfect storage solution - my washi is all in a drawer so I can't really see what I've got. Love the Drawcember idea, maybe I will see if I can find it online and join in, it's such a therapeutic activity to just do some drawing every day isn't it. Hope your vertigo stays away, I know that can feel awful. HAve a good week. Annie C

Sorry you've been feeling poorly, Sarah, but glad you're feeling better now. I had something similar a couple of years ago and put it down to a minor inner ear infection that sorted itself in a few days. Love your washi storage. I haven't got any, but I did have some TH tissue tape once, that was a complete waste of money - it was completely stuck to itself and wouldn't unroll without ripping in shreds. Not something I would consider buying again! Shame, because it looked lovely.

Thank you for your visit and all your lovely comments, especially your kind words about my brother in law. We're really going to miss him. I'm so glad you want to join in the giveaway!

Happy belated WOYWW,

Ohhhh - feel for you! Labyrinthitis gets me too, more often than I'd like to admit!

I really like your washi storage - mines is just shoved in a plastic tub, but I have more tape than tub, if you know what I mean!

Thanks for stopping by - apologies for the late visit!

Great washi storage. I have SO much washi that I have store it in drawers of a rolling cart in arm's reach - it was too much on my table. lol!

Hope your vertigo subsides - I have it, too - diagnosed as BPPV and even had to have physical therapy - a while back. I'm better now - but have to be very careful when leaning my head back.

Love your desk!
I did not play WOYWW this week - but I still am visiting desks to get inspiration!

Peace,
