One Layer Mandala Spring and Summer Rings

I do like creating dimensional looks even when only stamping one layer. These new Mandala Ring stamps designed by Barbara Gray lend themselves perfectly to this technique.

Stamping directly onto the front of a 6” x 6” kraft card blank, stamp one of the Spring and Summer Mandala Rings in Versamark ink. Heat emboss with white embossing powder.

Add the Spring image inside the mandala ring in the same manner.

Add the same mandala ring into the bottom right corner in the same way. This time add the Summer image to the centre.

Add Spring and Summer words multiple times to the background, this time stamping only in Versamark ink to create watermarks.

Add drop shadows to the embossing using a dark brown watercolour pencil, blended out with a watercolour brush pen.

To finish, add a couple of Barbara’s Word stickers. Add a drop shadow in the same way as before.
